Release Information Type: Single-Screen Beat-'Em-Up Developer: Lion Heart Publisher: Lion Heart Release: Comiket 76, August 15, 2009 Version: 1.21 (Includes Training & Desperate Mode) Language: English (Well, everywhere you really need it.) Character Information Playable Characters: 3 (Alice, Marisa, Patchouli - you pick a pair) Description Concept: Each area is a single screen with some platforms and monsters; defeating everything clears the stage. There are five chapters, consisting of 5 stages each, complete with a boss fight as the final stage of each chapter. How It Works: You choose a pair of girls to play as, and control both. You start off in control of the girl you picked first (called your "master") but you can switch with your other character (called your "slave") anytime you want. Both girls have their own independent HP gauges, but share their CP and the SP gauge. Your Chain Points (CP) are used to swap girls and for directional button special moves, and recharge themselves after you don't do either for a bit. Your max CP is extended by 1 for each boss you defeat. Your SP can be used to use spell cards, or resurrect a dead partner (First Aid). Advanced Strategy Slave Orders By default, your Slave's function is set to "follow," where they follow you closely so you can swap easily. However, if you hold Down and hit [Swap], you change the order to "ambush," where the Slave stays put until you swap or change the order back, allowing you to use advanced tactics to backstab enemies, or bat them back and forth for huge damage. Slaves waiting patiently under ambush orders regenerate HP. First Aid It's hard to do without your partner. If they should perish in battle, you can stand over their body and hold Down and hit [Spell Card] to sacrifice one spell card to resurrect your partner. Training You can use Training on any non-boss stage; when choosing a stage, hit [Swap] instead of [Attack] to confirm. In Training, enemies don't move or attack, and you can practice all you want; just pause and exit when done. Please note that if you try to use Training Mode on a boss stage, it will crash the game. Boss Rush If you've earned the True End on any difficulty for a pairing (by beating the Secret Chapter), you earn the right to attempt the Boss Rush with that pairing for that difficulty; when selecting your stage, hit left from 1-1 to highlight and choose Boss Rush. Desperate Mode If you manage to get the True End on Lunatic with a pairing, you earn a fifth ridiculously hard difficulty setting for that pairing called Desperate Mode, which will be found under the selection for Lunatic difficulty.

Release Information Type: Point-and-Click Action Developer: Y-Cubed Publisher: Y-Cubed Release: Reitaisai 9, May 27, 2012 Language: Japanese Default Controls [Mouse]: Control Half Ghost / Aim (Make a circular motion for a rotating slash) [Left Click]: Danmaku / Confirm [Right Click]: Movement / Cancel [Z]: Iaido Stance; Use movement to slash [X]: Title Screen [Esc]: Kill Game Description Plot Point: (Conjecture) Realizing her own weakness, Youmu trains to become stronger, taking challenges throughout Gensokyo under the supervision of Yuyuko. How it Works: The game starts off by putting you into a hub area, where you can choose to battle, upgrade your stats, or save the game. Story mode will place you into a boss fight instance. There is no pausing, so make sure that both Youmu and your physical state are ready for a complete duel. You can strike by firing danmaku, sweeping with your sword, or expending spirit in an Iaido blow (Quick draw of the blade; think Kenshin and battoujutsu, or 200 Yojana in 1 Slash). While Iaido is your only attack that expends spirit, it also provides mobility and invincibility frames. Bullets can be absorbed with your blades, which regenerates your spirit. Hitting the enemy with danmaku will also regenerate your spirit. If you fail the boss scene, you can challenge as many times as you like. If you find your strength insufficient, you can train. Training will net you experience points with which to strengthen Youmu, and can be spent to strengthen her base stats or attack options. Menu Options Training: Here Youmu can participate in various minigames that help develop your skill in using her various attacks. You will be awarded points with which to upgrade her stats depending on how well you perform. In this order, there is Intruder Shoot-up for shooting, Cherry Blossom Slashing for Iaido, and Bullet Slashing for the rotational slash. As you progress through the story, greater difficulty levels will be unlocked. Stat Growth: Here Youmu's stats can be upgraded within four major categories, in this order: The Foundations, Danmaku, Iaido, and Sword Sweeping. Within each category are three sub-categories, which will be listed in the order which they appear. The Foundations - Maximum Health, Maximum Spirit, Natural Spirit Recovery Over Time. Danmaku - Bullet Damage, Bullet Size, Bullet Attack Spirit Recovery. Iaido - Attack Strength, Slash Movement Speed, Spirit Cost Reduction. Sword Sweeping - Attack Strength, Attack Range, Bullet Absorption Spirit Recovery. Story Mode: Here you can continue the story and face boss scenes. Save Game: This is where you can record your progress. It is recommended that you save at least at the beginning of each chapter. Strategy If you ever find it too difficult to defeat a boss, a strategy that usually works is to stay next to the boss and continuously use the Sword Sweep. You will eat any bullets that are fired while doing damage to the boss, but the game will feel cheap if you abuse this too much. Perhaps its best for such a simple girl to, as Marisa put it, go around "slashing like an idiot."

Release Information Type: 2D - Action/Platformer Developer: 激辛spice Publisher: 激辛spice Release: Comiket 82, August 12, 2012 Language: Japanese Number of Players: 2 Default Controls Z: Melee Attack (Hold for Charge Attack) X: Jump ?: Shoot (Can hold up/down for aiming/new attacks) A: Character Select Menu Extras Orbs Red: Increases the max HP for the character who picked it up by +10. Flashing Red: Increases the max HP of your entire present roster by +5. Blue: Increases the max SP for the character who picked it up by +10. Flashing Blue: Increases the max SP of your entire present roster by +5. Green: Increases the special ability of the character who picked it up. For example: * Jump Height: Daiyousei, Suwako, Tewi * Sight in the Dark: Rumia Some special abilities that don't require picking up any green orbs: * Walking on Clouds: Aya * Stage-Warping Power: Yukari A Note on Progression There are 200 areas in the "normal game;" the formal game ends when you beat the boss inhabiting area 200. Thus, the areas 201+ are considered the post-game content (along with some of the other areas around 100ish). Description Plot Point: No idea, honestly. Not that this game has any actual talking in it. Well, maybe not "no idea". Far's we can tell, mysterious doors have appeared all around Gensokyo, and Marisa & Reimu go check it out. This game is based upon another game known as Atlantis no Nazo (The Mystery of Atlantis). How It Works: You explore the various doors; the number indicates what area it is. Higher numbers are meant to be cleared later, of course. As you find other characters, you'll fight them as bosses, and when you defeat them, they join your ever-increasing team, up to 25 members! Each character has different abilities, including the size of their hitbox or jump height, so make sure you try out each character when you earn them so you can see what they're capable of. Upon defeating bosses, you also get a Full Power powerup that brings all your dead characters back to life and restores everyone to full. Spirit Points: The blue gauge under your HP gauge is your Spirit Points (SP) (sometimes known as Danmaku Points, or "DP"); this gauge depletes as you continually fire danmaku, and refills slowly when you're not firing, though picking up blue spirit pickups will refill it faster. Treasure & 1-Ups: Throughout the game, you'll find treasure chests containing various amounts of Points. Collecting enough gives you a 1-Up, which is important: your starting supply of extra lives is pretty small, and you use the extra lives you acquire as resurrection items (highlight a dead character and hit confirm to resurrect them).

Release Information Type: Platform Developer: LION HEART Publisher: LION HEART Release: Comiket 71, December 29, 2006 Language: English Description Concept: If you've ever played the old NES title "Joust" and the old arcade game "WonderBoy," combine the thoughts of these two games, and you'll have a general idea what kind of game this is. It's basically a time killer, although it's a very addictive one. It involves killing endless swarms of Alice's Shanghai Dolls. How It Works: You hit "Start" and pick one of the stages to attempt. Things start off slow at first to put you in the mood; single enemies pop up, and you throw your magic stars at them to kill them (they'll also drop gold bars for you to pick up for extra points). You get five hearts, which means your game is over when you've been hit 5 times. As you survive longer, a greater variety of dolls start spawning faster and in greater numbers, until they start filling the screen. As you'd assume from the title, there is no way to actually win; you simply score as high as you possibly can (the addictive aspect of the game). To keep things interesting, there are several types of dolls with different capabilities, and every once in a while, Alice herself flies across the top of the screen to throw dolls at you; shoot her down for bonus points. For more details on the modernization features, see "Advanced Strategy" under the gameplay screenie. Modernization Features As this is a 2006 release (by Lion Heart, no less, famous for producing "Mystical Chain;" see above), simply running, jumping, and throwing normal stars forward are not your only options; a few modern amenities have been added to the addictive old-school gameplay: * Aim Shots: By holding any direction, any stars you fire will go in that general direction. You can aim shots upward, for example, to hit enemies on platforms above where you stand, or jump over an enemy and fire downward at it! * Charge Shot: If you hold the "Attack" button briefly, you will charge for a more powerful shot; it can be held as long as you like (just release the button to fire it). Charge Shots can be aimed like normal shots, and will go farther to give you more bang for your buck. Charge Shots can form combos. * Comboing: If you charge a shot, fire, and hit a doll with it, if there are other dolls standing within the blast radius (whether it's horizontal or vertical), those dolls will die also, creating an additional explosion (and if other dolls are standing in that blast, they'll die too, and so on!). You can wipe out entire platforms worth of dolls this way (or clear out the bottom floor). Gold dropped by chained dolls is worth more, depending which number in the chain the doll was. * Chaining: If you keep your calm, and are accurate with your shots and don't miss, the game will count each consecutive doll you kill in a Chain, which makes kills worth progressively more points until you break your Chain by either taking a hit yourself, or firing a shot and missing. Charge shots also count in Chains (so don't miss with those, either). * Drop Down Through Platforms: If you're on a platform you can jump up through, you can drop back down through it, too, by double-tapping the Down button. * Slide: You can slide by holding Down and hitting Jump. Sliding is basically a way to sidestep out of difficult situations; you can pass through enemies without taking damage this way. Once you learn exactly how far a slide will take you, it proves an invaluable way to escape in addition to jumping. Doll Colors The color of the doll's uniform indicates how it moves around and whether it will try to follow you around: * Green: Shy doll. These can't jump high or far, and they don't follow you around. They also can't jump off whichever platform they're on (like green koopa troopas in Super Mario Bros). * Yellow: Normal doll. These jump just a bit higher and farther than a green doll, and can jump off (but not through) their current platform, but they don't follow you around either. * Red: Intelligent doll. Red dolls are capable of the same speed of movement as normal yellow dolls, but these will follow you around if they spot you, and are capable of vertical jumps through platforms upward and dropping downward to stay on your tail as necessary. * Blue: Super doll. Blue dolls jump higher and farther than red dolls, and follow you around with great fervor once they see you. Like red dolls, they can jump up and down through platforms as well. * Black: Miniboss doll. A while after the screen has become infested with dolls, it starts to shake; this is your indication a black miniboss doll is present: as they are heavy (like Metal Mario), their jumping causes the screen to shake. These take a bunch of hits to kill, unlike regular dolls, and are worth a lot of points when you kill them. As stated before, there's no way to actually "win;" you just keep going until the dolls become too much to handle and all your hearts disappear off your life gauge. Never end~

Release Information Type: Fighting Game (Smash Bros. style.) Developer: Kamo Publisher: Kamo Release: Reitaisai 7, on March 14, 2010 Language: English main menus, Japanese level select text. Extras * I've played through and unlocked all of the normal characters for you in this copy; if you want the two secret characters though, you have to do Extra Mode yourself. Description What It Is: Think about "Cirno Climbers," above. Now also think about "Super Smash Bros." How could you possibly combine these two ideas, you might ask? This game is a beautiful marriage between the two ideas, and probably could not have been done any better (except maybe for some network support?). Up to four players can play simultaneously (assuming you have enough USB ports for that many controllers and have Joy-to-Key), or you can play the single-player game. Yukiyama Rantou Chiruno Kuraimaazu (English: Snowy Mountain Brawl Cirno Climbers) is the direct sequel to original Chiruno Kuraimaazu with more characters. There are three game modes: Arcade Mode, a single player mode with 4 difficulties and eight stages where the player must reach the top of the mountain and defeat the boss; Extra Mode, that can be unlocked once Arcade Mode has been completed, that's harder than lunatic but two hidden characters are available once completed; VS Mode is a battle mode where up to 4 players compete aganist each other. Each player has a damage total, represented by a percentage, which rises as damage is taken.
