  1. My original name stems from the game Arknights with the character Beagle, back then I didn't have much creativity and went using any characters' name.. My current name came from my imagination of a waffle growing duck legs and swimming about on the lake like a duck. The idea felt funny to me and sparked inspiration to create this name like a funny thing to be.
  2. I used to grow up on grassroots network stations so games really grew on me. It was a way to relax every Saturday for me, being dropped off at one by my gramps and being enveloped in it, all the beautiful bright lights of it. There are some of my favorites on PC that grew on me a lot: GTA: VC (the days of typing in cheat codes and just go wreck stuff, long before I have a brain to actually go and do the campaigns) Left 4 Dead 2 Alien Shooter Fifa Online 2 COD: Modern Warfare 2 For the PSes, I only had real fondness of PES 2013 on the PS3. It was that time when football enveloped me the most and I was churning into football games, as of that much. Later down the line, I did played Far Cry 5 and some more NBA titles on my brother's PS4 but that's about it for the PSes. I actually grew up on arcade stations, actually. Some of my fondest memories come from those. Pump It Up, Time Crisis, Deadstorm Pirates to name a few. And in some of them, my most beloved game that I still come back to this day, really: The House of The Dead, my most favorite arcade shooter of all time. There is just something about it: the visuals, the grimy atmosphere of zombies being everywhere, the eerie scenery that feels like it was fully shrouded with despair... I loved everything of it. I beat the full 3 games of it, minus 4 because I can't find a HOTD4 cabinet anywhere. Fondest was 3, of course. First and only time I beat a game on a cabinet. Fully unlocked all the endings too (it's simple if you know how, haha). There was something about it... the murky setting of the AMS headquarters in it's own, and the whole post-apocalyptic world in itself that truly draws you in. Moss drapes the walls and ceiling, dim lights flickering in the moment, and the little bits and pieces of blood, rubble, and others else as you traverse through the levels. You felt like you were rushing with your own movement as you flicker the light gun in your hands (it was a shotgun with 3) and pumping the trigger into undead hordes, and it was really good. Sega AM1 really elevated the gunplay and graphics to match the up-and-forth new engines at the time, so it does show in it. I really, really do want to talk more about this game, and the franchise as a whole, but that would take time. A lot. And there are Youtubers out there who made retrospectives of the franchise, but I wanted to give my own thoughts, and my personal feeling for it, and what truly made this game an all-time high for me. For now, I'll leave you with this retrospective video of HOTD3 by Ltarget, who speaks it more perfect than me, to be honest...
  3. No Christmas for me, unfortunately. School's first term finals stretches across Christmas aswell, so no rest day between test days. It's all coming and coming and coming in rapid succession. Well, at least I can condole myself with actually going out to see the jolly energy on the streets. Hope it can help me somewhat, haha.
  4. For me it's tangerines. We grow a lot of tangerines here so it's common sense to buy some ton of it and pick off gradually, haha. It elicits that sweet aroma on the inside, and the outer shell smells like lead a bit. Sometimes I do stumble across some really sour ones (like being thrown with sour grapes) but mostly its that sweet sensation that you get when biting down on one that makes me happy.
  5. I use Opera, mostly Opera GX for gaming situations. It's good to have something like that. For work browser, I use one of my country's web browser instead, which is Cốc Cốc ( Vietnamese browser, I know. Coc Coc for english, I suppose) for whenever I want to download videos. I store a bunch of my work sites up there so it's easy to access.
  6. Now, I should preface that I never, myself anyway, watched the Japanese Goburin vid of his (old nor new). It's not because I don't like it, I quite fancied the rhythm of it otherwise. It's because of the saturation and widespread of it that made me barred it away from my watchlist. Yes, I know, I'm being a bit non-sensical, but when it reaches a point of spread, so much of a community icon even, it turns into widespread oversaturation, and easily bores people and making them jump out of the Goburin bandwagon. Of course, I appreciate MTB for at least reviving a meme and turning it into an beacon of the Touhou community itself, but when oversaturation happens, it turns into chaos and a rumbustious case of hand pointing.
  7. Bitter gourd soup (Not Suika's wine gourd, though if you would do an gourd anatomy you would find bitterness in lieu), eggs, fried curry fish, and cha ca (fish sticks) with little coconut sticks in it. The last one is fascinating to me, haha. Probably because it's my first time tasting such a combination.
  8. Spicy noodles. It's sort of a thing now lol. I actually only have two choices for brekky: spicy noodles and bread. I tend to dial up each meal with each day but most of the time, I just slap the spicy noodles badge on my menu for the whole week. Bread's okay but with me being a bit overweight, might have to scale the fat and flour back.
  9. Interesting choice in IN Reimu. I feel like this version of Reimu gets me thinking of Hina, as in her ribbons curl a bit, but I think that is just me. For me, it's Eternity Larva from Hidden Star in Four Seasons. A butterfly fairy was a surprise for me when I first saw this, thinking it would be a bit odd. But then I grew to like it. The fluttering ring of leaves on her head feels like to me, the ringing of something fresh. Eternity is a fairy of summer, after all. She longs for that heat to catch up to all who seeks and enjoys it. Personally, I see her butterfly wings as an perfect execution of art here. It looks so realistic, and gives the impression that it's very big, and spreads out wider than her span. The hands maybe a synostic reminder to Rumia, but hey. Her clothes design, for me looks natural. Yes, butterfly gradients follow the top, but then it splits down at the bottom of the dress with leaves and rock patterns (it seems, sorry if it isn't) caressing along the dress, making her feel like she belongs to the nature, and the flutters of life belong it. All in all, its lovely, and probably stuck with me the most.
  10. so... after a bit of digging, I realized that Vietnam television does not have... a proper age rating system... or at least, the resemblance of it. so I'd go out on a limb here and assume that our system goes alongside the other Asian countries' age rating. There isn't any age rating badge on any of our shows, film series, so you could literally by accident let young child see adultery images in films. And it goes for most of the channels too, with I think the exception of the VTV (Vietnam Television) and HTV (Ho Chi Minh Television) branches not having any films that are too egregious on it, but still... some passes by. Violence is also courteous on our side, as TV films would show gunfights and stabbings, on scene, but subdue them down by having virtual blood gushing animations, or... just straight up dripping artificial blood on some characters. Which is a... way, I suppose. A nice touch. (any fellow countryman here that can address me, I would appreciate it a lot cause half of the words here are just a shot in the dark.)
  11. I guess if Count is holding out on writing it for a few more time, I'll give my honest opinions on it. Just that maybe I had gave in on LostWord giving me a rollercoaster ride. Haha. Story: I suppose... they're well made. Very and I'm saying this with a bit of lightly lookbacks on it. I like it. In a sense that I could compare it to Sherlock or Elementary but minus the murder and more magic. Quite enjoyed it to be fair. It gave a sense of "weelap pads, we panic for a moment, gather ourselves back and go ask a buncha people for clues. And then beat them up." It spiralled down into the drain in the latter parts, for me though. Don't get me wrong, I still take the Hakugyokurou storyline with a bit of enthusiasm but... that was it really. Then it was all "one cup of Loch Ness monster shenanigans and espresso depresso please." Overall, enjoyable to a sense of absurdity. Hifuu is... one I slightly enjoyed mostly because... fresh take and the "everyone loves reboots" knack. I can give it both the ire weird-out look and the benefit of a doubt because it gave me confunded feelings of "why are you there and why am I here" type. Events are enjoyable packs of fun for me personally. Honestly, they're well made and have elements of refreshness in them. I played through Hina's Cheering Saga laughably in joy as I walk through my head a readalong. And it takes some new turns that could well be some okay stuff if it was to be crafted more. All in all, well made. Gacha system: here we go again. Take Sebastian Vettel's 2010-2013 F1 dominance period, Lewis Hamilton's 2014-2020 F1 dominance period, and put them into a jambloni blender, and you get the gacha system. Don't get me wrong, I like them. I even considered this to be the nifty most generous gacha currency system I could experience. But the schedule... my god the schedule. They f'd up so much dishing out SFes and UFes (recent times) one by one like they're common dishes in a roadside Phở store and now RelicFes? Gimme a break... Where's our other gen chars? Where's Wriggle and Raiko? I could never defend this system even if I wanted to and try, because, generosity but they ruined it by giving us the best/worst amalgamation of gacha, at least by this game's standards. Tower/Arenas: to be honest, haven't touched them much. But a side level in which you could bake a bit of time in and... draw in some game time away from the main campaigns is good, imho. Characters: at least... they're not deviateable. True to heart and personality of them I would say, and maybe so too is us, the protagonist. Maybe her character side is okay... but I could wished it would be a bit more crafted upon. I get that she's confused of all this, but her (us) hopping into the Cadillac not 10 chapters later really says something about this just... meh. The other SFes/UFes variants that have poked their face into the stories is interesting. They give an alternate insight into how "you might be this person now, and the next, the other". Faceted truth and philosophy they're looking into, and, hey, it's welcomed, in a sense. And... that about covers what I want to say about this game. It's all "chopsticks and forking a rook out of Queen's protection" kind of talk, but then again, I'm quite honest in what I talk and do... Hope this can help you out in someway, Count. Maybe with the others insight + your own experience, you'll get something out and in.
  12. Maybe I'm too lenient because I don't really have a hated drink of my own, but my outlier in the stars: Day of The Dead Monster Energy. (or Mango Loco for short.) A bit fucky how that tasted because I really only drink one other mango-flavored and it was good enough to keep my tongue remedies. But this.... blargh. Maybe you like it and I don't blame you. But.... it doesn't sit right with me.
  13. Vietnamese person here, and honestly, if there's anything of a Touhou community here, it's definitely thriving. For once, we do take precedence in our fandom. Fangames made by some members in our community, a hefty amount of cosplayers and in general, fans alike. I do take hope into seeing us thrive more haha, and I guess we are still strong in hands.
  14. Coke for me. I mean.... Dr Pepper's pricey as hell in here, and besides, I'd take precedence of a familiar. Water.... we have Lavie and Aquafina as two dominating water brands here haha. So anything goes in the pendulum's cycle.
  15. I go along with Isaac's word on this. And to add on for myself, the visceral world, vibrant colors and it's citizens are what made Pokémon so fascinating for me. And then when I found Touhou, I drew along beside it and saw that same vibrant visceral landscape in Gensokyo, with youkais, gods and humans alike. Driving along the cruise boat of mutual understanding and trust, I guess that's what really got me into it.
