yeah, golden age Touhou is no more, defeated by another franchise such as Kancolle (yeah, they still popular), and Gacha games (Genshin, PGR, mostly from China). perhaps 2023 we will got another golden age?

Yeah, they added more track and bosses for the game in this update, but looking to others game they manage that only last 1 year, iirc it's Sonic game, im surprise they manage to keep running the game. They must be serious to keep the game up even it's only 10 players that play the game GSC only work as publisher, all works that added to EN such as translated event worked by Nextninja employee. GSC only work to merchandise Lost Word and Touhou in General

Arcadia still have too many bugs and an inadjustment, Voice Volume too high, BGM volume too low, also their discord community isn't organise well if you ask me. So i don't really hope much in this game, but i will keep play it, asside LW. Also EN server are speedrun real quickly, NextNinja know their Overseas market as well, or it's a bad signal for EOS???? FYI there's one more Touhou Mobile Gacha game that still alive and don't give EOS announcement yet, it's Touhou Dungeon Dive, Roguelike Action STG game. Even their existence in Touhou Community is pretty low, they still manage to alive

So basically the developers (Probably dobala game) tried hides their existence in this game and only mention KLab? They also want to hide all the bottlegs they have done in past? What a sly company

In the end, not only quality that matters, but you need to think more aggresive to survive, such as milking the assets (same as Lost Word), more promotion, or make another revenue source. I've seen this cycle too much, you play some gacha game -> turns out Its very underated great game -> Months later you heard that game are gonna shut their server.

Welp, i guess Lost Word still active, despire Dankagu that will be shut down 4 months later. I've told you before this game is FGO but Touhou. It hated by own community, but still active because it's not only sell the game, LW sell every aspect of touhou and non touhou, Fumo, internet AD, Action Figure, and many more. LW keep the player play the game by making some weekly dan monthly community event, did i told you One of their discord admin also Terraria Calamity Community Discord Mod? LW not only rely their revenue on gacha, thats why it's still active

A new Touhou Mobile Rythm Game, Danmaku Kagura that running almost 1 year officialy announce to shut their game on livestream and Twitter on July 18, yesterday. Honestly it's kinda sad to heard one of the most active touhou fangame developers (AquaStyle) decided to shut their game, AquaStyle know as best developer that support Touhou in this era. So there's must be something that prevent this game to continue, i assume it's budget problem. Because it's kinda expensive to bough popular artist music lisence to the game, and gacha is only revenue that this game had. Yeah, based on my experience as player that had been join so many official gacha game community. LW probaly the most active one, Dev Note every month in Official Discord, Amazon Voucher Giveaways, and Community Rewards contain in game stuff. And they always gave you some big freebies every day, based on event, such as Daily Log in, Reitaisai Celebration Log In, 1st Anniversary countdown Log In, Community log in, Return Player Log In, and some free rolls Log In. All of them you can got in one day. Here's the freebies that i got today

I also forgot to mention that LW had a most active admin EN gacha game community as official, most JP developers only care to their local community. And big freebies to collect, like i said, FGO but Sightly worse

Touhou used to be non NSFW art because original art looks bad (the ZUN one). But somehow it managed to become the top 5 NSFW art on the Internet, so my opinion is NSFW art in Touhou became the stamp, so it's not Touhou if it doesn't had thousands of NSFW arts

Nowdays, Touhou getting more attention again, not because funny plushie called Fumo, but for some music that came 10 years ago named Japanese Goblin by Astral Trip. They compare it as Weeb Rickroll, trolling you on some intresting video. But again, people just know it as Japanese Goblin, not as Touhou. They even don't know who's that girl on Video, they like "idk about Touhou, but this girl really japanisu goburin". But, i don't want to be elitist or something like that, if they want to know more about Touhou using that video, i'il be welcoming them. If not, then i don't mind at all But some people probaly don't like the meme at all, and they probaly tried to backslash the creator of MMD "Japanese Gobin", MTB itself. And i think it's kinda irony, since he's not the creator of song, they don't even know Astral Trip. He just create the remarkable version of it using MMD. He's also not the one who create a concept as a meme, but Internet did that. Touhou and Gacha Games can work together, but they need more content to keep LW active, by milking their assets, same with Danmaku Kagura. they dont want ended up like other Adaptacion gacha game from SAO series name SAO: Memory Defrag that only last 5 years I believe Danmaku Kagura will make a same way as other Idol Music game named Bang Dream, they will make an alternative characters such as summer koshi, idol koishi, halowwen koishi, etc. But instead as character, they will make it as CG art

tbh Lost Word just an FGO for Touhou, but sightly worse, creating alternative character, make some "boring" gameplay, and somehow forced player to use real money for win the battle. But, there's a difference between Adaptacion franchise gacha game, and Normal gacha game: Lost Word must keep their franchise known as Touhou, Nextninja cannot make an OC character because it would make Touhou lore break (Except ZUN decide to adding some Characters based on Lost Word on his manga/game). So they decide to make an alternative character, even they alternative story doesn't related to real Touhou game, they still need to keep touhou vibe alive. Imagine if all Touhou characters already relased in Lost Word, what should they do next? making more story event exiting? i doubt one exiting event story can bring players an hype Or creating a new gacha system called Equipment to increase maks stats? just like other gacha game? (Guardian Tales) it only make the game looks more greedy. Gacha game like LW is not just an Fangame, they need to be more creative so the game will last longer, you dont want this game ended like Touhou Cannonball right? that had been shut down on Sep 2020 They need to still alive using Touhou Franchise, when you click gacha banner, you want all those roll currency that you been keep months worth to spend right? you expect an new or freshy character every 2 weeks right? imagine LW never relase alternative character, and their done relase every character on Touhou today, what if you already have all of them year later, you dont want to roll anymore right? you only roll and expect on Dupe, because it can increase stats sightly. then you get bored and decide to sell the account an Normal gacha game (Arknights, Priconne, GBF (that's a name of the game that you just found on discord), kancolle, etc), they all freely to setup their franchise, lore, characters, new gacha mechanism as they want. They can create some new characters every 2 weeks, no matter it's Alternative version or not. They also can make an new lore for the new charaters freely, because it's their own franchise. Even if you already collect all the characters on game, you still need push foward to collecting gacha currency for upcoming characters, because that's what Game Developers do, making their player still play the game by keeping them an new Update, such as new characters Normal gacha game also advertise their game more efficieny, for example making an "name game" Cafe Theme in Akihabara, big banner on Videotorn. Lost Word probaly can't do that, even if they so, it ended up promoting Touhou, not Lost Word (said by the some touhou fans) for conclusion, Lost Word can't be compared by an normal Gacha game since it's Adaptation game based on Touhou. They still need to keep the Touhou assest on their game, and have an Limit Choise to keep the touhou lore stable
