I really like the music! One little thing I gotta say is that the virus scan doesn't exactly.... well the link isn't linked correctly.. it's just the homepage of virustotal..... otherwise the songs are really good, and "Shikushi - Miracles aren't called miracles for nothing" is really good!
  1. edit: misspelled "it" so I fixed "it" (... quite literally). Perhaps you're running "th08" rather than "Touhou08"? If you were running "Touhou08", then it might just be your computer...
  2. Just... install d3x_43.dll.... You can download it here: https://www.dll-files.com/d3dx11_43.dll.html Also, to install it, just extract it to the file that has your game in it "th08" and "Touhou08". Hope that helps!
  3. Perhaps you are loading the "th08" file rather than the "Touhou08" file? They have the same icon, but their function is a little different. If this problem still persists, it might just be your computer....
  4. Well then... extract it with something? If windows isn't working, use something like winrar, (which is free) to extract your zip files, or some other software (most are free)
  5. You might just not have that library. Get it here https://www.dll-files.com/d3dx9_43.dll.html All you need to do is extract the d3dx9_43.dll into the touhou folder.
  6. Uhm.... from the steam gameplay, I would have to say that we should wait a little more until they update this game a little more. It's not optimized very well, it's controls were mapped incorrectly.... etc. If you do want to play this game, you should have a good PC and use a controller, otherwise you're gonna have a bad time. This next bit was taken from steam: Format: Controller button - Keyboard button - Usage in Preset A LT - K - Descend LB - J - Melee attack Left joystick Up/Down/Left/Right - Up/Down/Left/Right - Move Left joystick press - Y - Switch dash Left navigation Up/Down/Left/Right - (not accessible) - (no use) Start - (I didn't find this) - Menu Select - (not accessible) - (no use) RT - L - Ascend RB - I - Shot attack A - D - Toggle B - S - Dodge X - (I didn't find this, but I guess it's E) - Spell Card Y - W - Switch firing Right joystick Up/Down/Left/Right - 8/2/4/6(small keyboard, with Num Lock on) - Move camera Right joystick press - (not accessible) - (no use) This was posted because the actual thing they gave us doesn't really let us read what we have to press to literally move and such. Alright, that's all I had to say. It doesn't seem like a bad game, but make sure you have a good PC and a controller.
  7. The release date is "Release: 16 ago 2019" did you mean to do that?
  8. Not run that file, or use a Japanese Locale, or use a Locale Emulator. That text is unreadable to the English Locale. There should be another exe file that you should run though that will work. It will most likely be called "TH06" or "Touhou06".
  9. Alright this is really old but.... If you have a locale emulator and set it to Japanese, or if you're locale on your computer is already JP, use that version. The version you should execute is callled "TH06" or something similar. It should be much smaller application size wise, but should have the same thumbail/icon.
  10. This game is great. It made me think and is good length! It's really complex and fun.
  11. so that's where the profile picture came from... been wonderin' for a while
  12. If this img had cirno it would've fit more (just because all of the file names are "99999999999")
  13. aw shoot I just realized that there WAS a comment section so I shouldnt've put it in reviews.... I'll put this here if this is the default thing that people see. (basically just what I posted in the reviews section) It had a lot more cursors than I thought! Glad to see love to so many different characters! It was really well made and I enjoy using this pack! Here's a little thing for those who don't know how to use it: 1) Extract the files to desktop using winrar or a similar program (For ease of access) 2) Open up your settings and follow this path: Settings -> Devices -> Mouse And within the "Mouse" tab, select "Additional mouse options" 3) Open up the "Pointers" tab in the "Mouse Properties" window and double click the cursors you want to change. (The Scheme name of mine is "Reimu" because I saved it as such. You will not have a "Reimu" scheme until you make it yourself) 4) Select "Desktop" and open up your folder that you extracted there (the animated cursor pack which is likely named "Touhou Cursor Pack") And then select the icons you want. I suggest the ones from the "[S A K U R A] Cursor Pack" as they seem the most in depth and well kept. If you want Reimu's folder but can't read kanji, it's this last one within S A K U R A's folder By the way.. please ignore my 4GO icons... Your files will probably not look like that ("This PC" and "Network" and other files normally don't have characters as them... don't be confused by them)
  14. It aint hard to be better than twilight, but this is sum seriously gud stuffs
  15. Sorry for the late reply! You might have to run this game in a different locale or use a locale emulator. You can download a locale emulator, or temporarily change your locale to play this, or you might not've extracted the files correctly (although I believe your problem is the former). Solutions: Easy way (downloading a locale emulator): Download a locale emulator of your choice (I use https://xupefei.github.io/Locale-Emulator/ but I haven't virus tested it. It's been very reliable and safe for me however this is PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.) After downloading it, run the applications in Japanese Hard way (updating your computer settings so that all future moriya shrine JP locale downloads will work): *NOTE YOU MUST BE LOGGED IN W/ AN ACCOUNT THAT HAS ADMIN PRIVILEGES TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM LOCALE, ALSO, THE APPROPIATE lANGUAGE PACKS SHOULD BE INSTALLED ON THE OPERATING SYSTEM* View the System Locale settings for Windows Click Start, then Control Panel Click Clock, Language and Region Windows 10, Windows 8: Click Region Windows 7: Click Region and Language Windows XP: Click Regional and Language Options The Region and Language options dialog appears. Click the Administrative tab On Windows XP, click the Advanced tab If there is no Advanced tab, then you are not logged in with administrative privileges. Under the Language for non-Unicode programs section, click Change system locale and select the desired language. Click OK Restart the computer to apply the change. https://www.java.com/en/download/help/locale.xml link if you need more help ^ Hope this helped you! c; Sorry I know that these are late but I want to help you out after reading this

did.. did it just delete that guide I made for you for the cursor packs... O god I have to do it again... all right I don't want to make it as crazy as last time so I'm just gonna do it fast. I made this because I can't reply to your review in that animated cursor pack.
      1) Extract the files to desktop using winrar or a similar program (For ease of access)

      2) Open up your settings and follow this path:
      Settings -> Devices -> Mouse
And within the "Mouse" tab, select "Additional mouse options"

      3) Open up the "Pointers" tab in the "Mouse Properties" window and double click the cursors you want to change. (The Scheme name of mine is "Reimu" because I saved it as such. You will not have a "Reimu" scheme until you make it yourself)

I've tried to delete that bottom picture so many times but it just didn't want to save so just ignore it... It was just an accidental picture that I put there.

Thank you for sharing this Rorogogo, I felt like giving some instructions when I posted those cause I figured some people could have a bit of a hard time setting up those, but I got lazy in the end and thought that maybe It wouldn't be as clear as I wanted It to be. Anyway, you did a great job, this definitely will help people out.

  17. I know I'm really late, but this has been updated multiple times
