First of all, ignoring garbled text isn't going to help you at all. Follow this then run the vpatch.exe or the japanese exe: Click the language symbol in the bottom right of the task bar next to the time and select "language preferences". This is my least favorite Touhou game in my opinion I hate how you have to keep tapping z when you could of just hold it down. I'm not here to cause any arguments, just expressing my opinion.
