Release Information Type: 2D Action/Platformer Developer: LION HEART Publisher: LION HEART Release: Comiket 84, August 12, 2013 Version: 1.10 Language: English (can switch to JP/CN) AKA Tenjou no Tempest - Suppression by Celestial. Lullaby for Gaia Notice: The game triggers a false-positive on most antiviruses Description A bizarre phenomenon is occurring in Gensokyo when the land is ravaged by relentless earthquake. Tenshi Hinanawi flies down from heaven to investigate this incident and to relieve her boredom. Tenjou no Tempest, literally translated as The Tempest of Heaven and Earth, is a side scrolling action platformer adapting some elements of Touhou Hisouten. The game uses specific weather effects from ice, gusts of wind, thunder and rain. Every enemy has a specific weather effect associated with them, and killing an enemy by countering their attacks unleashes their weather condition. Also, most obstacles and stages must be overcome by using the proper weather effects. There are four styles which can be fully customized to possess whatever bullet/spellcard type you wish. Important: Dashing through an enemy's attack animation will trigger a scarlet aura around the enemy. Attack the enemy with the Sword of Hisou to trigger a weather change effect. This is necessary at some points in the game to proceed. Scarlet mist on the ground are sources of large revenue. Use Sword of Hisou on them. You cannot activate them if you have full charge. Bosses sometimes will appear with different spellcards depending on how well you're faring. Taking multiple hits will result in your screen glowing red on the edges. This means you are close to death. To reverse the effect, you must stop receiving hits to regenerate constitution. Bullets/Spellcards can be bought with points that you have accumulated in the pause menu. The game's Steam page (please buy it if you can): https://store.steampowered.com/app/994020/Tempest_of_the_Heavens_and_Earth/

Extras Clear Data (included in download) This goes in your Sengoku Gensokyo -> Save folder. Also, it doesn't overwrite saved game data, it just flags the game as cleared, unlocking the extra stuff: * National Mode * Difficulty Select for Story Mode * Extras Section Description Plot Point: Yukari has distributed a letter throughout all of Gensokyo, setting rules for a team-based wargame for those who are bored of nothing but typical spell card rules, promising to grant any one wish for the team who wins. Those who are weak individually but strong in a group decide this provides an excellent opportunity; others simply want to prove their points; still others want the promised wish. But, for only the second time in Touhou history (the first being "Labyrinth of Touhou"), the entire Touhou cast is involved...because now, Gensokyo is at WAR. How It Works: This is a point-and-click strategy game (left-click to confirm, right-click to cancel); in the main Story Mode, generally speaking, you play the role of the Hakurei Shrine faction, and declare war, battle against, and capture the other factions' territories until you win by having the entire map under your control. For all the details you could possibly need, go grab the Instruction Pack from the Extras section on the left. This game may look something like "Risk" at first glance, but trust me: 1) it plays nothing like it, and 2) it takes a lot longer (Story Mode does, anyway). Want Extras? Clear the game. Simply clearing the main Story Mode game unlocks all of the following: * National Mode. A setup that emulates a multiplayer experience; all regions start off occupied, and factions are no longer concerned only with you; they'll attack each other now as well. National Mode comes with the bonus characters on the left (and thus some bonus factions, as well), and lots of ways to tweak things; you can set how many and which factions will be present and change their starting memberlists, and you also get to play as any faction you'd like. National Mode can use characters you've created yourself in the game's Extras section. To get to it, click "Start" on the main menu, and it will now ask you which mode you'd like to play (Story Mode or National Mode). * Difficulty Select for Story Mode. Was the default setting of Normal too easy for you? Now when you start a new Story Mode game, it will ask if you'd still like to play Normal, or if you'd prefer Hard or Lunatic. * Extras Section. Check out the CG art, videos, and character art; you've also earned the right to tweak the statistics of the characters you can hire in both Story and National Modes, and can also create new characters for use in National Mode. (When you start a new game, regardless of mode, it will ask you whether you'd like to use the official default data, or the edited data you tweaked.)

Release Information Type: Hero Defense Developer: www.touhou.cc Publisher: www.touhou.cc Release: ??? Language: English(Patch) Number of Players: Up to 5 Description What it is: A simple Warcraft III Co-op Hero Defense map designed for avid touhou fans. How it Works: Wave after wave of enemies will come and attempt to destroy the gate to Remilia's mansion. Your job, along with your friends, is to prevent them from succeeding by holding the line for two and a half hours. Heroes/Girls: Very limited selection in this one. Understandable since there can only be up to five players in any one game (Not including the observers). Each girl has a specific and stereotypical purpose in any team combination. Item/Recipes: The banners east of the central fountain holds the recipes for every craftable item. The merchants south west of the fountain and far south of the gate holds the purchasable items. (You can't buy items from banners, they only show the resulting items and their recipes) Skills: There is a telepad close north of the fountain, use that to access the skill library. Skills are bouught and leveled with power. Power is obtained by leveling up or buying from the fountain. Monster Waves: Becomes progressively harder as each one arrives. Do your best to prepare for each wave using items and your small arsenal of abilities. Installation: This one's pretty simple. Just drop the file in the "Maps" subfolder located in your Warcraft III folder.(This is often located in 'C:\Program Files\[Name of folder]' unless installed or put elsewhere) A Really Big Tip: It's practically impossible to win this game alone even with singleplayer cheats. You'd need at least one partner to tag along.

Release Information Type: Realtime Strategy Developer: Tasogare Frontier Publisher: Tasogare Frontier Release: 2007 Language: English-Patched Other Vitals Playable Characters: 32 (Colored by type; see "RPS Information," below.) EOSD Team Meiling, Sakuya, Patchouli, Flandre Hakurei Team Cirno, Alice, Marisa, Reimu, Suika PCB Team Chen, Ran, Youmu, Yuyuko, Yukari IN Team Tewi, Reisen, Eirin, Kaguya, Mokou PoFV Team Medicine, Yuka, Aya, Komachi, Shikeiki MoF Team Minoriko, Hina, Nitori, Sanae, Kanako Special Extras (2) (Available only in Free Select Mode) Keine, Suwako RPS Information The three unit affinities work like a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and knowing which unit type is better than another can help you make decisions as to which units to buy when you're playing on a difficulty that gives you info as to which enemies are next, so you can attack or defend better: * Melee is strong against Danmaku * Danmaku is strong against Flying * Flying is strong against Melee Spellcards You'll have 5 spellcards that you can use a single time each if you really get in a pinch that grant temporary bonuses; use them depending on exactly what kind of pinch you're in. From left to right: * Fire: Damages all enemies in an amount equal to half their max HP (also damages offscreen enemies). * Water: Respawn rate of dead units is increased tenfold. * Wind: Increases all animation speeds for your units (movement and attack speeds). * Metal: The bookshelf becomes temporarily invulnerable: enemies cannot steal books. * Earth: Your units gain temporary invulnerability; nothing can harm them. Special Note When computer-controlled, Marisas don't bother with attacks: instead, they go straight for the bookshelf (this applies to all difficulties, so be careful when you're up against a large wave of Marisas!) Special Modes Once you meat the games as all teams and earn Free Select, you also unlock the special Extra modes: *100k Mode. Start with 100,000 coins. *Swarm Mode. Waves contain even more enemies. *Thief Mode. None of the enemies bother attacking: like Marisas, they will now all rush for the bookshelf. *Dual Mode. Waves will now consist of a mix of 2 different characters. *Surround Mode. Each wave will now come from absolutely everywhere instead of having one particular offscreen area where they spawn from. *Boss Rush Mode. "Regular" waves will now consist of 3 normal-level boss characters, and "boss" waves will now consist of one giant boss. *Tower Defense Mode. Your units spawn on top of platforms with no way down; enemies will rush for the bookshelves. *Endless Mode. Even after the clock reaches midnight, the waves will just keep coming. Description * Please note that this game ONLY runs in an unchangeable 1024x768 resolution; if your monitor's resolution is smaller, there is absolutely no way to change the game's resolution to fit; even attempting to fullscreen it or force 640x480 through compatibility options does not work. Plot Point: Patchouli is sick and tired of Marisa stealing books from the library (tell me something I don't know), so she decides to strengthen its defenses by creating magical dolls to guard the books. Unfortunately, Marisa stole the book Patchy wrote on how to make the dolls, so everyone else knows how to make them too. Patchy's only hope is to create as many dolls as she can to defend her last stronghold that is the library. How It Works: You start with some gold to purchase your initial supply of units, which spawn at start point(s); each unit is unique, is one of three types (melee, danmaku, or flying), and has special abilities. You have as much time as you like to determine starting units and positions before starting. To begin, hit the large [Start] button in the lower-right to start the clock and the battling. As each wave of enemy units attacks, you can either let your units' proximity reactions go, or you can tell individuals or highlight groups of units and command them to go on the offensive. Defeating enemy units awards you more gold to make more units so you can handle larger and more powerful enemy groups, whereas if you neglect your duties, the enemies will make it to the bookshelves you're defending - if they steal all the books, it's game over. When the clock in the upper-right hits midnight, you get a wave of boss-type Marisas as the final wave. If you manage to fend that off without losing all your books, you win! Character Info: At first, you only start with Patchy's own EoSD team, but beating the game as each new team unlocks the next on the list; if you beat the game as all six normal teams, you unlock the 2 special characters and the ability to create a custom team with any characters you want using Free Select Mode. Difficulty Info: The game comes with 4 difficulty settings (Easy, Normal, Hard, and Lunatic). The difficulty you choose determines the following things: * Total time. Easier settings are shorter and less involved; higher difficulties last much longer (the clock moves much slower), forcing more strategy on your part as to who to upgrade or purchase more units for. * Time and warnings between waves. Easier settings provide more time between waves, and provide more info as to what they consist of (Easy tells you everything, including exact character, type, and where they're coming from; upping your difficulty tells you less and less until you get to Lunatic, which tells you absolutely nothing). * Wave strength. Easy is very forgiving; upping your difficulty means stronger waves appear sooner and more frequently. * Accessibility of the bookshelf to enemies. Easy puts tons of obstacles in the way, Lunatic hardly gives the enemies anything to walk around at all

Release Information Type: Turn-based RPG Developer: KAMO Publisher: KAMO Release: Comiket 83, on December 30, 2012 Language: Japanese/English-patched Starting Members Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Sanae, and Youmu Recruitable Characters Rumia, Cirno, Meiling, Patchouli, Remilia, Fladre, Chen, Letty, Alice, Lunasa, Merlin, Yuyuko, Ran, Wriggle, Mystia, Keine, Tewi, Mystia, Reisen, Eirin, Kaguya, Mokou, and Suika Original Characters Rinka Shichine, and Mumu Fugen Description Plot Point: A mist is spreading, causing locals in Gensokyo to fall into a deep endless sleep. Yukari gathers and guides the few remaining souls who remain awake to fight their way through endless waves of enemies as they wake up their friends and bring down the mastermind of this whole incident How it Works: You start out the game with Yukari on the left most part of the field. You have the ability to summon any one of the five starting characters to defend Yukari and help in advancing through the dungeon all the way to a gap leading to the next dungeon after defeating the dungeon's leader. *Things to take note of* The Title Screen: The left button in the main menu starts the game from the last save made (It automatically saves your progress when you quit the game). The right button deletes your current save file(do take note that you are only given one save here, and that any progress you've made like unlocked items or recruited characters are lost aside from the progress made when you do so). Character Deployment: All characters are manually deployed. There's a limit on the number of characters you can deploy at once, based on the current level of the dungeon which increases as you advance through the stage. Not-so-gentle Winds: Every turn a large gust of wind will blow through the field, damaging any units you currently have deployed. Enemies do not take damage from these winds, and the damage itself is based on the stage level. This wind is not present in most dream stages. Making friends along the way: There will be gaps that pop up after progressing enough through a dungeon. Clicking it will open up a dungeon selection menu, send your deployed units in to clear the dungeons. Clearing the sub-dungeons between every main dungeon unlocks playable characters as well as giving you a hoard of useful items. Leveling up: Do your best to keep your force at full strength. Move at a timely pace and manually level up your characters as they do not level up on their own. Enemies grow stronger and even stronger variants appear as you progress. Keep your units above their level to ensure that your units can take them head on, but don't over-invest on characters as their cost may go too high, leaving no room for assisting units. Items: This is a very fundamental point for the game. As you fight enemies, you'll begin to see your units acquire items from their kills. When a unit is not deployed or is recovering, you can edit their inventory and drag in items to increase their strength. Common items drop from enemies all the time, and can even be compressed to take up less space and make room for more items. Special items: There are common, uncommon, and unique items in the game. The unique items are the best versions of the stat specific items that give the highest bonus that can possibly be given by a single item at once. Only one of each unique item can drop, and are only obtainable from dream battles. Selling and compressing items: on the right side of the items menu are two things: the item press and the selling compartment. Items that are compressible can be dragged unto the press to make them smaller for a price. You can also sell unneeded items for a rather small sum of money, and if you sell enough items, you're given a consumable item that can be used to expand a unit's inventory by 1 small square.

Release Information Type: Old-School RPG Developer: Nise Eikoku Shinshidan Publisher: Nise Eikoku Shinshidan Release: 2009 Version: Special Disc 3.01 Language: English-Patched Character Information Playable Characters: 40 (Reimu, Marisa, Remilia, Sakuya, Patchouli, Chen, Meiling, Cirno, Minoriko, Youmu, Alice, Wriggle, Yuugi, Aya, Iku, Komachi, Suwako, Sanae, Nitori, Ran, Reisen, Eirin, Tenshi, Mokou, Flandre, Rin, Suika, Yuyuko, Kaguya, Yukari, Rinnosuke, Renko, Maribel, Utsuho, Kanako, Yuka, Mystia, Keina, and Shikieki.) Extras *My New Manual is included, but is seperatedly downloadable here too in case you're considering getting it but want all the details before downloading. It's far more helpful than the old English-translated manual and offering it seperately here sees to it that I can keep the detaied stuff off this page. *CharaGraphs: Included in the game download is not one but all seven CharaGraph packs I previously offered separately (in the Spare CharaGraphs folder), and my own ModPack with names and tags is already inn the main CharaGraph folder as the default set. Description Plot Point: A strange dimensional pocket has appeared above the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Its appearance is very menacing, and it feels like it's bad news. Our girls go inside to investigate why it's there and who's behind it. How It Works: It's a classic dungeon-crawling game in the style of "Dragon Warrior." You prepare in Gensokyo, then head down into the dungeon to explore, battle, and find treasure until you're unable to continue further and decide to warp back to town. Relay Points allow you to start from further in. Extra Notes: There are two font files included in the download, which you need to install to your Windows -> Fonts folder; also, this game will run without AppLocale, but if you want the fun Kakupoptai font seen in the screenshots to display properly, you must bother to run it through AppLocale.

Confirmed Resurrection Shikigami (2): Rin, Star. Map for More Than Directions: Once you get past the game's prologue gameplay (the appearance of the Towers), for a rather long time, the only save point you'll have is at your shrine - this is because once you've explored the new layout a bit and your girls start getting some idea where things are now, you can use the map to fly to places you've been to (including back and forth to and from the temple so you can save/replenish MP). To do this, open the map (press Start), move the cursor to the general area, and press (A); it will ask you which sub-area you'd like to fly to. If you've been to more than one tier of Reformed Gensokyo, you can hit (L)/(R) to switch tier maps so you can fly from one to another. The only place you cannot fly is inside the Towers themselves. You won't complain of a lack of shikigami. Not only are there tons of character shikigami, but once you acquire shikigami Satori by clearing any of the game's three Towers, she will randomly give you opportunities to recruit monsters you fight as long as she's equipped. You MUST run the game in AppLocale if you want the game to run. Description Plot Point: Humans and youkai are disappearing from Gensokyo mysteriously! Several of the girls have noticed the goings-on, and embark to find the source and end this incident. How It Works: When the game begins, you will choose one of four protagonists - Reimu, Yukari, Byakuren, or Meiling - and play from their perspective. Throughout the lengthy game, you will recruit new members and shikigami (more on that below), locate equipment, fight regular monsters and bosses. Other Notes: Like Labyrinth of Touhou, there are no consumable items (though your HP is replenished at the end of each battle since you can't use magic outside of battle), but unlike Labyrinth of Touhou, there's a good amount of healing magic, and you can resurrect dead characters if you have the right spells for it. Shikigami System: This game works on a shikigami system; you can have up to 5 main party members, who are responsible for your physical attacks (and take all the damage), and each of them can equip up to 3 shikigami characters who cast magic for them. More details on how to battle and stuff like that are found in my instructions pack, in the left column. This is a video of one of the Tower bosses on Reimu's route (you'll know what the Towers are when they appear in-game, trust me). This player uses one of the Tank formations, using Mokou as the tank.

However, it must be noted that the player must visit Akyuu once more after getting the recipes in order to unlock Mokou. Also, they will automatically join your party right before stage 9 (Mokou) and 11 (Byakuren) respectively if you do not recruit them before then. How It Works: This is a fantastic little SRPG done in the style of the "Super Robot Taisen" series. It works like you would expect a traditional SRPG to, except with expected Touhou elements; for example, if an enemy puts up a danmaku field, your girls will take penalties if they wander in without Focusing first, which negates said penalties. (Your girls can move much further per turn when Unfocused, of course.) For each exchange you get into, you can also freely enable or disable the nicely-animated scenes (which take a while to load, but are well-done; I usually enable them for exchanges with bosses). You can also upgrade your girls stats using points you earn in each chapter, points are awarded for kills and spellcard breaks, and taken away for unit casualties. There are also wife points, which you generally get 10 of per chapter but you can get 15 if you fulfill special criteria, these wife points can be used to even FURTHER upgrade your girls stats beyond their normal limits. You can pick between Reimu or Marisa as the protag and between the difficulties easy normal hard and lunatic.

Description Plot Point: This game retells Embodiment of Scarlet Devil with the trademark red mist acting in the beginning as the catalyst for plot development; however, there are surprisingly many plot twists, character developments and cameo guest appearances from other games as well as portraying a prologue to Mountain of Faith's story. Altogether, the storyline is beautiful and much more rich in drama compared to the original Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Release Information Type: Visual Novel Developer: すいかやさん Publisher: すいかやさん Release: Comiket 77, on December 30, 2009 Language: English-Patched Description Shin Gyakuten Touhou, literally translated as True Turnabout in the Eastern, is a visual novel legal thriller adventure developed by すいかやさん featuring the cast of Touhou Project. The player assumes the role of Aya Shameimaru as a defense attorney to prove their clients not guilty using investigation, evidence, and cross-examination. Courtroom sessions are generally made up of testimonies consisting of statements by witnesses and Aya may cross-examine the witness to locate a contradiction by showing a piece of evidence. Shin Gyakuten Touhou is the completion of the original game (Comiket 74, 2008) with three primary cases and an extra trial where Aya faces overwhelming evidence as an unpopular celestial Tenshi is accused of stealing. How it Works: If you've ever played the Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney series then you'll be right at home here. If not, then know that it is a Text-based game. Text, as in, a lot of the game is reading, so yeah. This is the basic order of events; Crime is commited. Girl is arrested. Girl gets Aya to help prove that they're innocent. Aya goes around collecting evidence, and talking to witnesses. You go to court and listen to witness testimony. You try and use evidence to prove that they're lying/made a mistake. Rinse & Repeat, hope that truth prevails.

Other locales will not work, and AppLocale will not make it work, either. The Artifactgaming Link doesn't have the BGM problem the Mega Link has... but it still needs "Simplified Chinese PRC" Description Plot Point: The season is summer, but for some reason snow is still falling. Marisa's Detective Agency (Marisa, Alice, Patchouli, Flandre) has been holed up in the Hakurei Shrine, and Reimu wants them to stop freeloading, so she kicks them out and tells them to go find out why it's still snowing. However, before they leave Mokou & Keine show up and request that the Detectives go find Mokou's "fiery core" that has gone missing. Mokou, who can't fight without her core, decides to go with the girls, and leaves Keine at the shrine with Reimu as a "registration fee". How it Works: It plays like a basic role-playing game for the most part. You go around fighting battles (with enemies that are seen on the field), buying equipment & spellcards, and making items at Reimu's shrine through alchemy.

Release Information Type: Isometric Shooting Game Developer: UTG Software Publisher: UTG Software Release: December 30th, 2010 Language: Japanese Number of Players: 2, in fact AKA: Suwako no Danmaku Pyonpyon Daisansaku Description Plot Point: "Suwako has a lot of free time. Way too much free time, in fact, so she decides to go for a walk. And then, what was once in 2 dimensions is now in 3. What is this frog's specialty, that this 3 dimensional world has long awaited? Jumping, which is now different than how it used to be. Danmaku is incoming, from now on you must jump to avoid it. Go~" (Note: this is what I got after much staring at the site's "Story" section. 'Twill not be perfect, so yeah.) How It Works: Well, If you've ever played Suwako-chan Cubic (the sequel), it's a lot like that. If you haven't then... 1. Imagine your standard Touhou game. Now imagine it if it weren't in 2D, or 3D even. 2. Now, look at the picture in the corner. It's like that. Enemies shoot patterns of bullets at you, and you dodge them, while shooting your own danmaku back. However, in this game, it's in a 2.5D (if that's the right dimensions I'm thinking of) field. What this means, basically, is that you can go under bullets AND jump over bullets. Extra Notes: Yes, I did indeed copy-pasta that from what I wrote for the sequel. Tough luck. Also, since this game came first, there isn't a cool shield function.

Release Information Type: Isometric Shooting Game Developer: UTG Software Publisher: UTG Software Release: Comiket 82, 2012 Language: Japanese Controls Z: Shoot X: Bomb Shift: Jump (no focus in this game) Esc: Pull up the pause menu W,A,S,D: Mess with the camera angle-view thingie (I don't particularly care to mess with this, so stuff.) Extra Notes: Also, if you're like me, and bad at these types of games, they also added in a "Very Easy" mode. It is in-fact, quite easy. Also, you can unlock Gallery Mode, by beating the other difficulties. So have fun with that. Description Plot Point: I'm not sure, and from what I've played of it, I'm not sure if it has one. There isn't any talking in the actual story mode, so yeah. (Technically I haven't beaten the story either, but yeah.) How it Works: Well, If you've ever played Suwako's Jumping-Shooting game, it's a lot like that. If you haven't then... 1. Imagine your standard Touhou game. Now imagine it if it weren't in 2D, or 3D even. 2. Now, look at the picture in the corner. It's like that. What this means, basically, is that you can go under bullets AND jump over bullets. Also, this game has a really nice shield mechanic in case, like me, you aren't exactly the best at these kinds of games. If you are hit while your shield gauge (bottom-left) is at 100%, then you don't lose a life.

Release Information Game Type: 3D Rail Shooter Developer: Shooting Area, Aquaelie, Hexaflange Publisher: Shooting Area, Aquaelie, Hexaflange Release: Comiket 79, December 31, 2010 Language: Japanese with English Menu Default Controls W: Up A: Left S: Down D: Right Arrow Up: Accelerate Arrow Down: Brake Arrow Left: Machine Gun Arrow Right: Missile Launcher Accel+Brake+Missile: CX Mode Description Plot Point: I have no idea. The game is in Japanese and I couldn't find any translations or english patches. As far as I can tell, Nitori has tricked out Marisa's broom. Giving it an engine and weapons. Marisa uses this to go out and beat people up. How it works: If you've ever played the game "After Burner" or its sequel "After Burner Climax" then you know what you're getting into here. If you're like me and haven't played either of the "After Burner games" but have at least played EoSD 3D or seen something like it, you'll still be fine. I HIGHLY recommend you use a controller to play this if you can. The default keyboard controls have you use the W, A, S, and D keys to move around and the arrow keys to shoot, accelerate and brake (See default controls for more). Weapons: Marisa's weapons are a machine gun and a missile launcher. The machine gun ammo is infinite, but there is an ammo system for the missile launcher. However, it does constantly replenish. The missile launcher also comes with a lock on feature and does more damage than the machine gun. Use this against the bosses. Life Gauge and Acceleration Bar: Instead of using lives, Marisa comes with a life gauge that, when depleted, causes a game over. Like her missile ammunition, this also constantly replenishes, but at a slower rate. The acceleration bar is underneath the life gauge. It starts at zero because instead of being depleted it shows you how fast you're going and stabilizes a bit before max. While you will be tempted to zoom through the stage as fast as possible(and heck yes it's fun), it's not a good idea to do it constantly as there will be bullets coming at you from all directions. There is also a CX Bar, but I don't know what it does as it won't activate for me.

Release Information Type: 3D Danmaku Developer: Unknown Publisher: Unknown Release: January 9, 2012 Version Number: 1.00f Language: Japanese Default Controls Z Slow character X Bomb C Skip Text Space Pause (Characters autofire) Description Plot Point: The exact same as the original game. How it Works: Once you pick your character and shot type, you'll be taken to the first stage(again, just like the original). Your character will move forward and fire on their own, so instead of moving forward and backward, you will move up and down. Just like in the original, easy mode has five stages while the rest of the difficulties have six. The game was released on January 9, 2012 and comes with more significant features. The developer has adjusted the difficulties and bullet barrages. Now the bosses will be much more difficult to overcome and sometimes need more bomb than ever before. No more continues in EX Mode, additional BGM's and text for each stages. The biggest upgrade is visual effects where full 3D shaded has been applied and replacing cell shaded. Player can also switch between 3rd or 1st person view. For maximum effects the game also has FSAA option, but this will require high end graphic cards.

Brew Information Designation: Shooting Game Brewed: 2007 Palette: Mostly Domestic, Some Foreign (i.e., not enough Japanese to really make a difference) Made By: The Drinking Party Brew Statistics Drunkards: 1 (Isami) Weaponry: Are those chopsticks...? (Yes, yes they are.) POC: lolwut? (Am I drunk? There're no pickups...) Description What a Friend of a Friend Told Me Happened: Boss: Hey there Isami. Isami: Oh! Hey there. *Minimizes Solitaire window* Boss: I've seen you at the bar a couple times. Isami: ...Have you? Boss: Yeah. Nothin' wrong with a good drink after work though. And actually, I wanted to tell you about this really great bar I heard about. Here's the address. *Slips her a paper* Isami: Uh-huh...thanks and stuff, but what's so great about the place?...THIS...IS...SPARTAAAAA!! Boss: Uh...not quite. I heard that if you drink 'till dawn there, you'll see a weird world of danmaku, whatever that is. Isami: Danmaku? I've heard of that...I think...is that some kind of sushi? Or was it a soup? Boss: I'm sure Chuck Norris knows; I keep hearing only the really serious drinkers go there. Isami: Okay, then, it's settled! I'll head out there tonight! LEEEEROOOOOOY JEEEENKIIIIIIIIINS!!! ...It's...kind of like that. ...I think. In All Seriousness As should have been made quite clear by the main entry, this game is absolutely, positively not to be taken seriously; the idea for this 100% free game came up during a drinking party between Zun and several of his friends (seriously!!); it has only one difficulty setting and one character. (Thus, it won't ask you to select either; you hit "Game Start" and play begins immediately. The difficulty is somewhere around an ordinary Touhou game's [Normal] setting.) Your enemies are food and liquor items, and the game also has an appropriately bizarre scoring and shot powerup system, described below. These things being said, feel free to play while drunk or tired. Anyhow, here's how things work in this zany game. Reference the gameplay screenie above if necessary. * Shooting, Power, and the Beer Gauge: Hold [C] for rapid fire; hold [Z] to charge a barrage of chopsticks (you still hold [Shift] to Focus). You have a Beer Gauge on the right side of the screen; this starts off empty (you haven't drunk anything yet!!), and slowly fills as you destroy liquor items (beer mugs, sake jars, anything that makes a shattering noise when you destroy it; food items do nothing for your Beer Gauge). You gain more shot power for each liter of beer you consume, up to 3 liters. There are no power-up pickup items. * Bombing: If you bomb (hit [X]), you spray beer foam all over anything unfortunate enough to be directly above you. This costs you 1 liter of beer, and penalizes your maximum by 1/10th of a liter for the rest of the stage. * The Time Indicator: The entire left side of the screen is your Time Indicator; the current time, which is a white bar, slowly proceeds from your Entering Time (red bar at the bottom), toward Last Order time (pink bar further up the screen) and Closing Time (red bar at the very top). There are several reasons this is important. First of all, dying consumes some extra time (as it's hard for this drunk girl to pick her butt up off the floor). Second of all, some enemy waves don't appear until the previous wave has either all been destroyed or traveled off the screen, so you must act as quickly as you can, because if you don't get to the boss before Last Call, you get kicked out of the bar, immediately ending the game. As long as you get to the boss before Last Call, you can fight them all the way up until Closing Time (you have to beat them before the bar closes!), but if you die during a boss fight anytime after Last Call, you get kicked out of the bar at that point. * Scoring: The scoring system is similar to PoFV's combo system; as you continuously shoot down enemies with no break between, the Menu Category goes up, which makes everything worth more money. Er...yeah...your score is actually the bill Isami is racking up...good luck paying that off.

Release Information Type: Vertical Bullet Hell Shooter Developer: RebRank Publisher: RebRank Release: 2002-2005 Language: Japanese Description In 2785, full-scale war breaks out on Earth over the various nations' rights to extraplanetary resources. This war ravages the Earth's environment, forcing humanity to flee underground. It also sees the creation of the M.R.S. (Machine manufacture Research and development System), an automated manufacturing and battle system designed to allow wars to take place without actual human participation. Unfortunately, within five years of humanity's flight underground, M.R.S. has completely taken control of the Earth's surface, and the first exploratory group from humanity's underground Shelters is annihilated. Not long after this first exploratory mission, the M.R.S. system discovers the Absolute Dimensional Barrier technology and eventually refines it into the Dimensional Absolute Barrier Shield; it uses its SMD series of warplanes to test and perfect the system. Unfortunately, the prototype unit, SMD-00x, disappears after activating the barrier for the first time, and though M.R.S. is eventually able to establish contact with the dimensional void into which SMD-00x disappeared, it's never actually able to find the ship again. Nevertheless, the system continues developing the SMD series, creating smaller, more capable craft such as the SMD-24-0x "Samidare", which is piloted by a humanoid control unit, C-22, and the final unit, SMD-31-FX "Gesshoku", whose control unit, C-23, possesses an advanced, self-aware AI. Meanwhile, humanity is busy urbanizing its Shelters, developing bipedal robots (armed lightweight walking vehicles, or ALWVs), and preparing to take the fight to M.R.S. Sixty years after the cataclysm that drove humanity underground, it finally emerges to retake the surface. By this time, M.R.S. has developed significant internal defects, and the battle is relatively short. Within two decades, almost all M.R.S.-created automata on the surface have been destroyed. Samidare's main story mode follows the major missions of SMD-24-0x: its testing against the biomechanical construct Sylphid, its encounter with Anareta, the defense system of long-ruined space outpost Tetra-Biblos, and its encounter with the SMD series prototype, SMD-00x. The extra mode follows a flight of the SMD-31-FX several decades later, after SMD-24-0x makes it back to Earth (if you get the good ending).

Release Information Type: Vertical Bullet Hell Shooter Developer: Studio Ramble & D.N.A. Softwares Publisher: DNA Software Release: March 21, 2005 Language: Japanese Default Controls Arrow Keys: Movement Z: Fire / Select X: Bomb Shift: Focus Movement Description Moedan is a training game for newcomers to Touhou. You play as Flandre Scarlet and are given two spellcard options: Wide Shot and Linear Shot. Bombs clear bullets but do no damage. Alice Margatroid appears as a boss. The game is based on the player trying to clear spell cards, where each Spell Card have different patterns and provide players the opportunity to practice dealing with it. In each stage the player can earn silver medal by shooting down enough enemies/the boss within the time limit, or earn gold medal by surviving until the time runs out. Story Mode Story mode functions the same as the "Imperishable Night" Practice section. Flandre must clear 50 spellcards, but don't worry. There isn't a set order in which you must clear one, so you can always skip one you are having trouble with and go back to it later. If you time a spell card out, you get a gold medal instead of a silver one. Freeplay Mode Freeplay mode allows you to play the same spellcards from Story Mode, but you may add a few more options. You may increase the number of lives and bombs you start with, and you may choose as to whether or not to double the spellcard.
