The barrier can also be used as a form of attack besides those enemies, it instantly gets rid of smaller enemies and harms bigger enemies and bosses.
In a boss situations when their health bar is completely empty your barrier bar will be fully charged (Even if you just used it), this saves you having to wait to deal the final blow though if you miss your chance the first time it will have to charge (So don't miss).

  3. Blizzard of Faith & Revenge

    Release Information
    Type: RPG
    Developer: Moe Touhou
    Publisher: Moe Touhou
    Release: December 10th, 2009
    Language: English Patched
This game requires you to switch your computer's locale to "Simplified Chinese PRC." Other locales will not work, and AppLocale will not make it work, either.
The Artifactgaming Link doesn't have the BGM problem the Mega Link has... but it still needs "Simplified Chinese PRC"
    Description
Plot Point: The season is summer, but for some reason snow is still falling. Marisa's Detective Agency (Marisa, Alice, Patchouli, Flandre) has been holed up in the Hakurei Shrine, and Reimu wants them to stop freeloading, so she kicks them out and tells them to go find out why it's still snowing. However, before they leave Mokou & Keine show up and request that the Detectives go find Mokou's "fiery core" that has gone missing. Mokou, who can't fight without her core, decides to go with the girls, and leaves Keine at the shrine with Reimu as a "registration fee".

How it Works: It plays like a basic role-playing game for the most part. You go around fighting battles (with enemies that are seen on the field), buying equipment & spellcards, and making items at Reimu's shrine through alchemy.

    Description

    The Storyline
Aya is yet again looking for material to write about in her newspaper, and an incident came with good timing too.     There seems to be a very peculiar incident where a plant-based epidemic has spread across much of the Youkai Mountain, and it appears that the only one to put a stop to the regional incident at the time was Momiji. Of course, she wouldn't stand a chance against an entire legion, so (with a little convincing) she recruited Aya to help resolve this fairly large incident.
    The Mechanics of this Game
With little more than your skill and judgement to rely on during most of the game, you must punch, super kick, dash, and jolt your way to the final boss and to a proper victory. (Like any proper rogue-like game)
Each stage has specific target enemies that must be dealt with in order to complete, and the stage will continue for so long as you and your target/s are both alive.
    Stat Upgrades
(In order within the in-game menu)
HP: How much raw damage you can take before going "pii-chun~"
HP Recovery: The amount of hitpoints you recover by consuming dropped food items from enemies.
Attack Power: Determines your basic combo and mega kick damage.
Defense: Reduces damage by a certain amount
Assist Power: Determines Momiji's screen-clearing damage.
Stamina Recovery: Determines how quickly you regain stamina for special attacks, maneuvers, and support calls.
Innate Effect: While not a purchasable upgrade to Aya, this section allows you to choose the perk that makes Aya a tougher or more dangerous nut to crack.
Innates can vary from simple stat modifiers to unique effects such as knockback immunity.
    Achievements
Not much is known about these stage achievements, but accomplishing any one of them will reward you with extra points for upgrades, various perks, and things that have yet to be identified.
    Sanae
Don't even wonder anymore. Sanae is a randomly appearing and ever wandering super-boss who deals monster damage and is after you in particular. Unlike any other enemy in the game, she rewards you with points proportionate to the amount of damage  you deal to her and doesn't need her to be defeated in order to gain.
Don't be too happy with this though, as she is more powerful than what you would ever think. Without full stat upgrades, you'll be swatted dead before coming close.
Do note that by defeating her, you permanently disable her ability to randomly appear in any stage and instead unlock her hidden stage. In this stage, she will be exponentially stronger, will NOT reward you on hit, and you must defeat her in order to gain anything out of this hectic duel.

    Description
Plot Point: A cybernetics laboratory had finished building the ultimate machine: the nuclear-capable gynoid known as SANA. Mysteriously, a terrorist organization kidnaps SANA and implants her AI with a virus, twisting her mind with a desire to destroy the planet. With the rest of the world unable to act, the special operations miko known as the 'Dichromatic Butterfly' is contracted to counteract this incident. With the reclusive 'NEETori' supporting her via. radio transmissions, Reimu sets off to infiltrate the terrorist organization, discover their goals, and recover or shutdown SANA.
How it Works: Metal Gear/Splinter Cell Touhou. You make use of an array of bullets, grenades, and items to make your way through stages full of traps, guards, and security devices to fulfill certain objectives, whether it be to destroy a target or secure intel, before finally making your way back to the escape point.
From the Story menu, Nitori will give you a description of each mission. Once you select a mission, you can choose which bullet type and grenade type you will use for the mission. You can also select an alternate costume, but this is purely cosmetic. You can unlock more of them after meeting certain conditions.
Your ammo is limited, so make good use of it. You can occasionally find ammo items on the stage. You also have access to WAVE goggles, which allows you to see security devices' field of view, laser wires, etc. until the goggles need to recharge. When you obtain an item such as the suppressor, you need to go into the menu and equip it in the gadgets sub-menu. Once you get a perfect and speedy clear of the whole game, you can start missions with these items equipped.
The security devices will become more complex as the game goes on, some needing key cards and such to open. The guards will also become more complex, some being immune to melee and most shots, etc.The guards will react on-sight, and also to sounds such as your shots and running footsteps. Melee itself is silent. When they are put into a state of alert, their field of vision also expands. Also of note is that Reimu is a technical pacifist, so you cannot use live munitions on the guards.

  7. DynaMarisa 3D

    Release Information
    Type: Platforming/Action/3rd Person shooter
    Developer: Tasogare Frontier
    Publisher: Tasogare Frontier
    Release: Comic 1☆5, on May 1, 2011
    Language: English/Japanese
    Default Controls
    Move&Aim: W,A,S,D, Mouse Aims
    Jump: Shift
Dodge: Space Bar (move forward after "Dodge" and you will run)
Scope Zoom: Mouse Wheel (only on guns that have it)
This game supports 3D stereoscopic graphics that can be activated by pressing Alt + Enter to switch into fullscreen.
    Description
Plot Point: Marisa has been caught in Patchouli's library yet again, and this time her response was of epic proportions: having evidently learned from the game "MegaMari" that merely turning the library into a castle isn't enough, she's decided to go all-out to eliminate our beloved book-borrower from her library once and for all - she's hired tons of high-tech help and enchanted the place so Marisa can't use her spell cards!  This forces Marisa to respond in kind by taking up arms and hiring her own small troop of fairy helpers.  With guns that have abilities linked to her friends, it's time to stop Pachouli's madness and make a safer future for books!
How It Works: Its a 3rd-person shooter, meaning you'll be looking at Marisa's back as well as the hordes of enemies that dare to stand against her, you are also given a small group of fairies to help you early on. The Mission objectives aren't disclosed, but range from "survive" to "kill all enemies."  The controls are like a Computer FPS; the A/S/D/W keys moves Marisa around, and you aim with the mouse.
Extra Notes: Put item acquisition on the top of your priority list: you need all the help you can get later on.   Hat: Little Marisa hats are dropped by killing the enemies around you.  These each permanently increase your Max HP by 1 point.     Gold Mushrooms: Gold Mushrooms are healing items (Who would have guessed that? I mean seriously, you only play as Marisa).     Blue Boxes: This is Important! Boxes contain new weapons, which you can use starting in the next stage.  Remember, the harder the Stage settings are, the better your weapons are, and Marisa likes very powerful weapons !  ^.^

  9. EoSD for the Busy Person & Extra

    Release Information
    Type: Visual Novel
    Developer: カスガソフト
    Publisher: カスガソフト
    Release: Reitaisai 6, 2009
    Version: English 1.0
    Language: English-Patched
AKA Isogashii Hito no Tame no Koumakyou
    Description
Plot Point: Remilia gets bored, so she decides to hold an "event" for more or less, Reimu & Marisa. Whomever can reach Remilia first, by walking through the EoSD stages, gets a prize. Reimu and Aya team up, while Marisa takes Alice with her.
How it Works:This game is a visual novel, so their isn't actually much gameplay. You read text/listen to the voices, and choose one out of two options every now and then. One choice will always give you a "Bad Ending" while the other let's you continue on in the story (besides when you select Reimu or Marisa).
Extra Notes: To Save anywhere in the game, hold the "Shift" key, and press any of "F1-F12". To Load these files just press the "F1-F12" without holding Shift.   EoSD for the Busy Extra
Plot Point: Like the first game, but with noticeably more Flandre. That is all. It's a completely different game, by the way. Not an expansion or whatever.
Extra Notes: You can still save and load in the same manner as the first game. You can enable "Fast Voices" by entering in the Konami Code when you first start up the game, during the Kasugasoft logo. If you do it right you'll hear a tone.(Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A)

    Type: Visual Novel
    Developer: Rednal
    Publisher: Rednal
    Release: 2010

    Description
Plot Point: Flandre decides, one day, to go and visit her friends at the Hakurei Shrine. She arrives only to be told that Marisa's birthday is swiftly approaching. And so, Flandre must decide what to get her friend for her birthday...

How it Works: It's a standard VN (Visual Novel). Well, actually it's not super standard, as it's length is not the greatest.... In fact, to be quite honest, it's really short. Like really, you've been warned. it's a heartwarming story though, so why not play through it. I haven't said it yet, but there (if I'm remembering correctly) aren't any choices to be made. And if there are, they don't change anything. So you just click and progress the story.

  13. Gensou Shoujo Taisen Ei - Fantasy Maiden Wars Eternal

    Release Information
    Type: Strategy RPG(SRPG)
    Developer: さんぼん堂
Publisher: さんぼん堂 Release: Comiket 86, August 16, 2014
Language: Mostly English Prepatched   Default Controls
    Z: Confirms actions/Initiates actions
    X: Cancels actions
S: Brings up unit status screens/Holding it activates fast forward mode
    A: Toggles unit focus mode
    Q is previous unit
    W is next unit
Enter: Skips cutscenes Enter places a marker on the map as well
Shift: brings up a minimap   Description
Plot Point: This game puts its own spin on the events of Imperishable Night.

How It Works:  This is a fantastic little SRPG done in the style of the "Super Robot Taisen" series.  It works like you would expect a traditional SRPG to, except with expected Touhou elements; for example, if an enemy puts up a danmaku field, your girls will take penalties if they wander in without Focusing first, which negates said penalties.  (Your girls can move much further per turn when Unfocused, of course.)  For each exchange you get into, you can also freely enable or disable the nicely-animated scenes (which take a while to load, but are well-done; I usually enable them for exchanges with bosses).  You can also upgrade your girls stats using points you earn in each chapter, points are awarded for kills and spellcard breaks, and taken away for unit casualties. There are also wife points, which you generally get 10 of per chapter but you can get 15 if you fulfill special criteria, these wife points can be used to even FURTHER upgrade your girls stats beyond their normal limits. You can pick between Reimu or Marisa as the protag and between the difficulties easy normal hard and lunatic.

  14. Gensou Shoujo Taisen Kou - Fantasy Maiden Wars Scarlet

    Release Information
    Type: Strategy RPG(SRPG)
    Developer: さんぼん堂
    Publisher: さんぼん堂
    Release: Comiket 78, 2010
Language: English-Patched Version 1.02 Version: 1.1.2   Other Vitals
    Playable Characters(Reimu & Marisa's Story)
Reimu, Marisa, Nitori, Alice, Keine, Cirno, Daiyousei, Rumia, Youmu, Akyu, and Sakuya.

    *Playable Characters(Sakuya's Story)
Sakuya, Koakuma, Patchouli, Remilia, Meiling, Alice, Flandre, and Komachi.

*Please Note: This game can be played with a Playstation controller.   Description
Plot Point: This game retells Embodiment of Scarlet Devil with the trademark red mist acting in the beginning as the catalyst for plot development; however, there are surprisingly many plot twists, character developments and cameo guest appearances from other games as well as portraying a prologue to Mountain of Faith's story. Altogether, the storyline is beautiful and much more rich in drama compared to the original Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

Super Robot Taisen's "Wife" System also makes an appearance in this game, enabling your girls to learn special abilities beyond normal skills.  Also available are things like upgrading your girls' stats and skills, and four difficulties to choose from (you can also pick Reimu or Marisa as the protagonist).  If you clear the game, it is planned to allow your game-clear save to be able to carry over to the game's future sequel.

Changeable to anything you want (including controller buttons) in the Options menu. * Note that I don't designate the Use Tool button as being an "attack" button, despite that being its equivalent functionality in this game - Nitori is generally incapable of killing enemies, usually because she has to use them as stepping stones.

    * Wanna know what you'll be getting? TouhouWiki has a complete Tool List so you'll know what you get and how to use it.
    * Stuck? TouhouWiki also has a full walkthrough just in case, for those who are ready to admit they can't figure out a puzzle. Description
Plot Point: Utsuho has been spotted away from her post in the nuclear reactor.  This worries everyone's favorite engineer, who takes it upon herself to check up on the bird-brained girl.

How It Works: Is it or is it not about time someone made a game starring Nitori where your solutions lie in expert gadget usage to solve puzzles?  That's exactly what this is, and if you hated the boring feel and isometric perspective of Maristice, exactly what you've been pining for - Nitori starts with 5 Life and some weapon energy (which recharges itself), and finds both expansions for these and a whole lot of Tools that give her an increasing amount of ability - not only do you get a way to stun enemies (the Stinky Ball), but you also get useful tools from a Drill and some Bombs for getting through pesky destructible blocks, to her famous Extending Arm for grappling, to seemingly game-breaking tools like the Wall-Walk Shoes (they do exactly what you think) and the Water Jet (which also does exactly what you think).  Even the boss fights are mostly puzzle-based, solutions lying in forcing bosses to fall into their own traps or otherwise damage themselves (only the world 4 & 5 bosses are actual damage-them-to-death fights).

Please Note: Though you do get a ton of helpful tools, and there're save points and signs with hints or other info all over the place, remember that although the game has a light atmosphere and starts easy enough to get you accustomed, it actually quickly becomes difficult, none of the tools are optional and multi-room puzzles are commonplace even early on.  The endgame is constructed ingeniously to make you use every tool you own in order to earn the last one and get to the final boss.

World 5 is a Bonus: If you collect 15 UFOs for Nue, she'll unlock World 5, which is a lengthy, self-contained challenge world - upon entering, you lose all your tools and must re-collect them within that world as part of the challenge (although if you choose to leave World 5 and go somewhere else, you'll get your tools back until you return), and will face Kaizo Mario-level challenge as you're forced to push your tool usage ingenuity to the maximum!

  16. Gensoukyou Daisensou - Touhou Shimyureshon Batoru

    Release Information
    Type: Chess-like Strategy
    Developer: INSIDE SYSTEM
    Publisher: INSIDE SYSTEM
    Release: Comiket 82, 2012
    Language: Japanese
    Extras
This may not be completely obvious at first (or maybe it is, depends on you), but the artwork for the characters were done by different people. So yeah, that's why, say Satori and Cirno, look QUITE different from say Reimu & Marisa.
    Description
Plot Point: Dunno really, besides the fact that it involves clones of some sort. So yeah, sorry. Also, I've never really done the story. Just the offline play.

How it Works: Well, battles are set up like a chess board, with your units on one side, and your opponents on the opposite. You each take turns moving your units and "attacking" your opponents. However, unlike in chess, when you move your piece onto an enemies piece, combat begins! This is where your units stats come into play.

    Knowing your units' stats:

Card ( カード): When you are attack during a battle, your character draws a numbered card. They can possibly draw from 1, up to their Card stat.

Pow(パワ): If your attack goes through, it deals some number of damage in your Pow range.

Graze(グレイズ): This is I guess what you would call the defensive stat. When your opponent attacks, and for example let's say they draw a "4", if your Graze is "6" you take NO damage. At all. Attacks in this game are hit-or-miss. Note: Same number means a hit.

Life(ライフ): This is just simply your characters HP. After winning a battle, some HP is restored.

Joker:  You may notice that some units have a (JOKER) in their status menu. This means when attacking their is a, slight chance of drawing the Joker card, which is instant death for your opponent.

+1 Bonus:  This bonus is given to whatever unit started the battle. It temporarily, for the length of the battle, raises your Card stat by 1.

Spell(スペル): You may notice that some characters, after moving, have a choice of some sort. These are "Spellcards", and they can be used, mainly to either heal your allies, or to deal damage to your opponent. If you highlight the spellcard's name, then you'll be shown the range. Under the info box, a description will pop up telling you how much it can heal for/how much damage might happen. So, yeah. You'll see some japanese text in red, with a big "10-30" in it, which means it will deal between 10 and 30 points of damage. Red name= damage. Green name = heal.

  17. I.9: Intelligent Fool

    Release Information
    Type: 3D Real-time Puzzle
    Developer: illuCalab
    Publisher: illuCalab
    Release: Comiket 81, Dec 29, 2011
    Version: 1.033
    Language: Japanese

    Character Information
    Playable Characters: 1
    (Cirno)

For you people who know the game "Intelligent Qube" and liked it. This game is for you.
    Description
There are nine stages and completing them all will unlock "Extra" mode. In extra mode, everything is the same EXCEPT your camera will not be a bird's eye 3rd person view. It will be at eye level behind Cirno in 3rd person. This severely increases difficulty and inhibits your ability. The only way to see a top view of the blocks at this point is to speed up blocks.

As you play the game, you'll be rewarded with coins which can be spent on several things.

    * 3 Coins: Pause (If you do not have enough coins, the screen will go opaque)
    * 30 Coins: Continue
    * 15 Coins: Enhanced Mine (Press and Hold Z then X to change your normal Mine into an Enhanced Mine. This will also reduce your I.⑨ by 1.)   Plot Point
In the wet and cold lands of Misty Lake.  There lives a ice fairy named Cirno.  On a whim, she decides to partake in a game where it will determine whether she is a cretin or an ingenious sprite.

How it Works The goal of the game is simple.
    * Destroy all of the blocks aside from the black-colored Forbidden Blocks.

    * Destroying a green cube will place an Enhanced Mine where the cube was destroyed.  It will then leave a marked green spot in which you can detonate for a 3x3 explosion with it at its center.

    * You will be penalized for destroying Forbidden Cubes or allowing other cubes to pass you and fall off the edge of the stage.
            - For each Forbidden Cube you destroy, a row of the stage will crumble.
            - For each set number of other cubes you let pass you, a row of the stage will crumble.

    * You will be granted an additional row onto the stage if you manage to clear a wave of cubes flawlessly (no Forbidden Cubes destroyed and all other cubes destroyed).

    * Getting crushed by the cubes will cause them to speed towards the end of the stage, only stopping for when you set off a mine, ultimately causing you to lose your Perfect completion bonus as well as possible rows due to failing to capture the remaining cubes.

    * Completing the round above the limited turns will not cause a negative affect on the game.  It will only reduce your end IQ score.

    * Once you destroy a block, the limit turn will start ticking so this gives you time to plan your moves.

    *  The game is over if you fall off the edge of the stage.

The game is about Masahiro (our protagonist) and his journey on a summer holiday with the other characters. Although there is no real danger, there is still an adventure to be had, especially when things start to go wrong!

Official Information and Release Thread on Maidens of the Kaleidoscope here

    How it Works:
Masahiro has five shot types to choose from, one for each of the basic chinese elements Ignis Ofuda (Fire) - A straightforward shot whose options can be held in place while focused. Metallum Disc (Metal) - A three prong laser that aims forward when focusing. Ligni Sprout (Wood) - Four curved streams of pointed logs that curve harsher when focused. Terra Boulder (Earth) - Focused streams that change angle as you move, which lock angle upon focusing. Aqua Marble (Water) - A spread shot that changes to a forward fire shot when focusing.

*My New Manual is included, but is seperatedly downloadable here too in case you're considering getting it but want all the details before downloading. It's far more helpful than the old English-translated manual and offering it seperately here sees to it that I can keep the detaied stuff off this page.
*CharaGraphs: Included in the game download is not one but all seven CharaGraph packs I previously offered separately (in the Spare CharaGraphs folder), and my own ModPack with names and tags is already inn the main CharaGraph folder as the default set.   Description
Plot Point:  A strange dimensional pocket has appeared above the Scarlet Devil Mansion.  Its appearance is very menacing, and it feels like it's bad news.  Our girls go inside to investigate why it's there and who's behind it.
How It Works:  It's a classic dungeon-crawling game in the style of "Dragon Warrior."  You prepare in Gensokyo, then head down into the dungeon to explore, battle, and find treasure until you're unable to continue further and decide to warp back to town.  Relay Points allow you to start from further in.
Extra Notes:  There are two font files included in the download, which you need to install to your Windows -> Fonts folder; also, this game will run without AppLocale, but if you want the fun Kakupoptai font seen in the screenshots to display properly, you must bother to run it through AppLocale.

  22. MariAri

    Release Information
    Type: Mouse-Controlled Puzzle
    Developer: Desunoya (ですのや)
    Publisher: Desunoya (ですのや)
    Release: 2007
    Version: 1.11b
    Language: English-Patched
    Description
Plot Point: It was a day like any other, Alice was in her home, reading, when Marisa came over. Marisa wants Alice's help doing something, so they head off. However, they hadn't gotten very far before a yandere (in-game description) Patchouli had cursed Alice because she wanted to ruin their date! Now Marisa's hat can't be taken off of Alice's head (Alice was wearing Marisa's hat because it was sunny outside)!

How it Works: Marisa & Alice is a puzzle game based off of "Mario & Wario". You use Shanghai to break blocks, hold Alice still, & to turn Alice around to help solve puzzles that will lead a blind Alice to Marisa, while simultaneously picking up gold stars (generally 3 per stage) that are used to unlock the boss stages.

Extra Note: "Lesson Mode" isn't actually a lesson or tutorial or anything like that. It's actually (as I believe) a harder challenge mode.

  24. Master Burner Climax

    Release Information
    Game Type: 3D Rail Shooter
    Developer: Shooting Area, Aquaelie, Hexaflange
    Publisher: Shooting Area, Aquaelie, Hexaflange
    Release: Comiket 79, December 31, 2010
    Language: Japanese with English Menu
    Default Controls
    W: Up
    A: Left
    S: Down
    D: Right
    Arrow Up: Accelerate
    Arrow Down: Brake
    Arrow Left: Machine Gun
    Arrow Right: Missile Launcher
    Accel+Brake+Missile: CX Mode
    Description
Plot Point: I have no idea. The game is in Japanese and I couldn't find any translations or english patches. As far as I can tell, Nitori has tricked out Marisa's broom. Giving it an engine and weapons. Marisa uses this to go out and beat people up. How it works: If you've ever played the game "After Burner" or its sequel "After Burner Climax" then you know what you're getting into here. If you're like me and haven't played either of the "After Burner games" but have at least played EoSD 3D or seen something like it, you'll still be fine. I HIGHLY recommend you use a controller to play this if you can. The default keyboard controls have you use the W, A, S, and D keys to move around and the arrow keys to shoot, accelerate and brake (See default controls for more). Weapons: Marisa's weapons are a machine gun and a missile launcher. The machine gun ammo is infinite, but there is an ammo system for the missile launcher. However, it does constantly replenish. The missile launcher also comes with a lock on feature and does more damage than the machine gun. Use this against the bosses.
Life Gauge and Acceleration Bar: Instead of using lives, Marisa comes with a life gauge that, when depleted, causes a game over. Like her missile ammunition, this also constantly replenishes, but at a slower rate. The acceleration bar is underneath the life gauge. It starts at zero because instead of being depleted it shows you how fast you're going and stabilizes a bit before max. While you will be tempted to zoom through the stage as fast as possible(and heck yes it's fun), it's not a good idea to do it constantly as there will be bullets coming at you from all directions. There is also a CX Bar, but I don't know what it does as it won't activate for me.

  25. Moeru Danmaku STG Moedan

    Release Information
    Type: Vertical Bullet Hell Shooter
Developer: Studio Ramble & D.N.A. Softwares
    Publisher: DNA Software
    Release: March 21, 2005
    Language: Japanese
    Default Controls
    Arrow Keys: Movement
    Z: Fire / Select
    X: Bomb
    Shift: Focus Movement
    Description
Moedan is a training game for newcomers to Touhou. You play as Flandre Scarlet and are given two spellcard options: Wide Shot and Linear Shot. Bombs clear bullets but do no damage. Alice Margatroid appears as a boss. The game is based on the player trying to clear spell cards, where each Spell Card have different patterns and provide players the opportunity to practice dealing with it. In each stage the player can earn silver medal by shooting down enough enemies/the boss within the time limit, or earn gold medal by surviving until the time runs out.
    Story Mode
Story mode functions the same as the "Imperishable Night" Practice section. Flandre must clear 50 spellcards, but don't worry. There isn't a set order in which you must clear one, so you can always skip one you are having trouble with and go back to it later. If you time a spell card out, you get a gold medal instead of a silver one.

    Freeplay Mode
Freeplay mode allows you to play the same spellcards from Story Mode, but you may add a few more options. You may increase the number of lives and bombs you start with, and you may choose as to whether or not to double the spellcard.
