Release Information Type: Shooting Game Developer: 原色空間 Publisher: 原色空間 Release: 2012 Language: Japanese Silhouette on Cover: Mikoto Yaobi (Final Boss) Note: All information and photos submitted by ilikepie21k Character Information Playable Characters: 3 (Reimu, Marisa, Sanae) Shot Types: 3 per character POC: Always On; Location depends on Hydrogen (Blue) Measurement Bar Boss Gimmicks Stage 4 Boss - Green and blue outlined bullets flicker in and out as they move. - During the 1st and 2nd spellcards, she attacks with familiars shaped as the 2 characters you aren’t playing as and in the last spellcard she attacks with your doppelganger. Stage 5 Boss - Uses bubbles during her spellcards as her gimmick which serve a important purpose to your survival and her defeat. Stage 6 Boss - Spawns fairies during her spellcards to attack you. - In her final spell, she uses fairies and bubbles in conjunction. Extra Stage Boss - The extra boss possesses a handful of weird gimmicks. First one is the use of bubbles. How original. - Second, her nonspells have train-like wheels of bullets spinning across the screen. - Third gimmick is that during one of her survival spells, she moves around, clips off existing bullets around her, and spawns them elsewhere. - Fourth appears in her other survival spell. The bullets possess the same color as the background. (Reimu-Black, Marisa-White, Sanae-Rainbow) They won’t appear until they are within close proximity. - Her final gimmick possesses an interesting twist that should only be learnt by yourself... Description Plot Point: Suddenly, a small lake in Gensokyo turns into a decently-sized salty sea. Reimu, Marisa, and Sanae plunge into the depths to explore and find out what is causing the sea's expansion. How it Works: Marine Benefit is a spinoff shooter game and so plays as any Touhou games, except for the addition of special new mechanics. Unique Gameplay Mechanics Hydrogen and Oxygen System: The Hydrogen and Oxygen System is your way of earning bombs and extra lives in this game. The Hydrogen (Blue) bar is your way of getting bombs and is increased by small and large H items. The Oxygen (Orange) bar is your way of getting lives and is increased by small and large O items. Both are also increased by grazing bullets. The latter method can be abused in a few stages to gain tons of resources and make this game ridiculously easy, even though it is a somewhat a difficult game. The Hydrogen bar is also your POC in this game, and it moves up and down, so adjust your strategy accordingly.

Release Information Type: Vertical Bullet Hell Shooter Developer: danmaq Publisher: danmaq Release: Comiket 71, December 31, 2006 Language: English-Patched Default Controls Arrow Keys: Movement Z: Fire / Select X: Bomb ?: Fire Hakurei Orb Shift: Focus Movement Esc: Pause Ctrl: Skip Dialogue Home: Take Screenshot R: Return to Title F12: Shutdown Game Description Plot Point: Everyone's favorite Ordinary Magician, Marisa Kirisame, decides to head to the Hakurei Shrine to pester Reimu. But when she arrives, everything is quiet and the shrine is locked down. Sensing an incident in the air, Marisa takes to the sky. 4 different scenarios await her as she fights to uncover those responsible for the incident and heads to an epic battle that will decide the fate of Gensokyo. The story is a well done and thought provoking masterpiece that challenges what we think and feel about the mythical land. How It Works: Concealed the Conclusion is a 2D vertical shooting game. It plays much like Imperishable Night. Marisa is the only playable character but has four different shot types to choose from. Some fans would be pleased to know that Love Sign, Penetration Type is featured with everyone's favorite rainbow colored beam of destruction, Master Spark. Each shot type also determines which scenario is chosen. Just like the Official Touhou Games, there are six stages to fight through. An extremely important note concerns the player's hitbox. In this game, it is a lot smaller than the Official games. But, the hitboxes of almost everything else(bullets, knives, falling cats, lasers, Klondike bars) are bigger to balance it out. Hakurei Orbs: This is one of the most important items in the game. Just like the time orbs in Imperishable Night, they are awarded for different tasks. Capturing Spell Cards, grazing bullets and destroying bullets all award these orbs. Last Spells also make an appearance, if enough orbs have been collected. But, the most important purpose of the Hakurei Orbs is that they decide how much time a player gets to fight the final boss. ((Thanks to Dratini Farmer for writing this!)) Hakurei Items Hakurei items collected to increase spell card bonuses, gain extra points at the end of each stage, unlock Last Spells, and extend the time limit for the Stage 6 boss fight. They are gained by capturing Spell Cards, destroying bullets with the Hakurei orbs, and grazing. Unfocused grazing yields 1 Hakurei item, but when the Hakurei gauge is full, any grazing will give three. Bombing reduces the player's Hakurei by 3%, while dying will reduce it by 9%, or 18% if the Hakurei gauge was full. The Hakurei Gauge appears around Marisa's sprite and will fill as you take ungrazed actions such as shooting or grazing. When the gauge is full, you can fire Hakurei orbs to turn bullets into Hakurei items. The first press releases the orb, while the second detonates it. Missing will result in an almost complete drain of the gauge. Launching the orb costs 1% of your gauge. Bombing puts a 20% penalty on the gauge. Dying, death-bombing, or failing a Last Spell will cause it to reset and disable it for 6 seconds after the invincibility period, rendering you unable to collect Hakurei items. Release Information Type: Bullet Hell Developer: ido, Len Publisher: ido, Len Release: 2015 Language: Japanese Default Controls Arrow Keys: Movement Z: Fire / Select X: Bomb Shift: Focus Movement Esc: Pause Ctrl: Fast Forward Description Touhou Hakujinki, literally translated as Eastern White Dust Record, is a vertically scrolling shooter for Touhou Danmakufu ph3 shooting game engine developed by several members behind Touhou Jaseishou (The Last Comer) and Touhou Doumeiju (Mystical Power Plant). The composer for this game is Misora. One day, Reimu, Marisa and Sanae discover that the humans of Gensokyo have become unable to form memories. As they separately prepare to investigate the incident, they're each visited by someone claiming to have information on the culprit. Some important gameplay features that Touhou Hakunjiki introduces are three playable characters; Reimu, Marisa and Sanae, with several original characters non-existent in Touhou Project. Another distinguishing feature is mystery-solving elements in addition to danmaku. The player has to uncover clues behind the story to identify the culprit. You gain extends via items, but you cannot get a life unless you have less than the maximum of three bombs. This game is a royal pain to download and get running - you will need a specialized unarchiver to unopen the .lzh file, and it is unclear how to get the entire game into a single folder. The main gameplay mechanic involves a gauge that the player fills up by collecting items. Once full, holding down the bomb key will 'unlock' the player's full strength with a powered-up mode for a short period of time. NOTES: --This game is murderous on your processor. Release Information Type: 3D Action Platformer Developer: あんかけスパ Publisher: あんかけスパ Release: Comiket 81, December 30, 2011 Version: 1.20 Language: English Default Controls Z: Confirm / Slash X: Cancel / Jump ?: Special Attack A: Switch Specials S: Sky Sword View: 6 Roots of Perception Description Plot Point: One day at Hakugyokuro, Yuyuko is once again attempting to dodge her sword training, claiming that "Youmu's instructions are getting us nowhere." Youmu responded with "Well then, what must I do to make it worthwhile?" Then, Yuyuko gave Youmu the task of defeating Reimu, claiming that if Youmu is capable of such a task, Yuyuko might pay attention to her sword training. It seems as though Yuyuko is just finding another way to dodge her training, but Youmu seems to be taking it seriously. Can Youmu really go against the odds and defeat the Hakurei Shrine Maiden? How It Works: You play as Youmu, you run around stages, and slash the crap out of anything that gets in your way as you progress on your quest to find and defeat Reimu. You start off with 3 SP of which to use your 3 special attacks with; these can be increased by finding and destroying 3 yellow pots in each stage to obtain 3 parts of a new SP orb. Note that SP regenerates rather quickly. Scattered about the levels you will find different colored pots: Green pots contain items that restore your health; either by 50 or 150. Blue pots only serve to boost your combo count. Yellow pots, as stated above, contain a Soul Piece; collect 3 to get an extra soul point for using your specials. Youmu also has a spellcard, which can be used when the gauge below your healthbar is full. Activate it, hit someone with it, and watch everything die. Note that if you use Sky Sword View: 6 Roots of Perception and don't hit anyone initially, the bar will not reset to 0; instead it will reset to 1 strike on any enemy = able to use. Youmu will also get extensions to her combo. I know not what affects this; all I know is that it seems to happen more quickly the more you use her spellcard. Use that damn thing every opportunity, and don't worry about not having it for the boss: the bar fills up instantly when entering the boss room!

Release Information Type: Platforming/Action/3rd Person shooter Developer: Tasogare Frontier Publisher: Tasogare Frontier Release: Comic 1☆5, on May 1, 2011 Language: English/Japanese Default Controls Move&Aim: W,A,S,D, Mouse Aims Jump: Shift Dodge: Space Bar (move forward after "Dodge" and you will run) Scope Zoom: Mouse Wheel (only on guns that have it) This game supports 3D stereoscopic graphics that can be activated by pressing Alt + Enter to switch into fullscreen. Description Plot Point: Marisa has been caught in Patchouli's library yet again, and this time her response was of epic proportions: having evidently learned from the game "MegaMari" that merely turning the library into a castle isn't enough, she's decided to go all-out to eliminate our beloved book-borrower from her library once and for all - she's hired tons of high-tech help and enchanted the place so Marisa can't use her spell cards! This forces Marisa to respond in kind by taking up arms and hiring her own small troop of fairy helpers. With guns that have abilities linked to her friends, it's time to stop Pachouli's madness and make a safer future for books! How It Works: Its a 3rd-person shooter, meaning you'll be looking at Marisa's back as well as the hordes of enemies that dare to stand against her, you are also given a small group of fairies to help you early on. The Mission objectives aren't disclosed, but range from "survive" to "kill all enemies." The controls are like a Computer FPS; the A/S/D/W keys moves Marisa around, and you aim with the mouse. Extra Notes: Put item acquisition on the top of your priority list: you need all the help you can get later on. Hat: Little Marisa hats are dropped by killing the enemies around you. These each permanently increase your Max HP by 1 point. Gold Mushrooms: Gold Mushrooms are healing items (Who would have guessed that? I mean seriously, you only play as Marisa). Blue Boxes: This is Important! Boxes contain new weapons, which you can use starting in the next stage. Remember, the harder the Stage settings are, the better your weapons are, and Marisa likes very powerful weapons ! ^.^

With the reclusive 'NEETori' supporting her via. radio transmissions, Reimu sets off to infiltrate the terrorist organization, discover their goals, and recover or shutdown SANA. How it Works: Metal Gear/Splinter Cell Touhou. You make use of an array of bullets, grenades, and items to make your way through stages full of traps, guards, and security devices to fulfill certain objectives, whether it be to destroy a target or secure intel, before finally making your way back to the escape point. From the Story menu, Nitori will give you a description of each mission. Once you select a mission, you can choose which bullet type and grenade type you will use for the mission. You can also select an alternate costume, but this is purely cosmetic. You can unlock more of them after meeting certain conditions. Your ammo is limited, so make good use of it. You can occasionally find ammo items on the stage. You also have access to WAVE goggles, which allows you to see security devices' field of view, laser wires, etc. until the goggles need to recharge. When you obtain an item such as the suppressor, you need to go into the menu and equip it in the gadgets sub-menu. Once you get a perfect and speedy clear of the whole game, you can start missions with these items equipped. The security devices will become more complex as the game goes on, some needing key cards and such to open. The guards will also become more complex, some being immune to melee and most shots, etc.The guards will react on-sight, and also to sounds such as your shots and running footsteps. Melee itself is silent. When they are put into a state of alert, their field of vision also expands. Also of note is that Reimu is a technical pacifist, so you cannot use live munitions on the guards.

Now, it is up to Takorin, one of the arbitrators of Kouzatsukyo, to track down the creatures who escaped from and her world and find who - or what - is responsible. How it Works: This plays out like a Megaman Zero game as you can kick your enemies to deal heavy damage or shoot them with eye lazers for rapid fire damage, you select from eight stages and as you beat each of the bosses you learn new moves to use against enemy. Special Attacks: To preform one of the special attacks (Which you get from the first eight bosses) you press the keys that you got told to use from the results screen after the stage and then press the special attack button, this would do nothing if you entered the command wrong, but when you enter the command correctly you should see Takorin preform a special attack on the enemy, whether this is a screen clearer or a single target attack. Release Information Type: Platforming/Action/Capture The Flag Developer: Lion Heart Publisher: Lion Heart Release: Comiket 78, August 14, 2010 Language: English/Japanese (English only on the main menus) Character Information Playable Characters: 1 (Sanae, Utsuho helps though) Default Controls Controls can be set in the Config.exe, and will accept a gamepad. Button 1 [Z]: Confirm/Shoot Stars ● Holding the button by itself makes her shoot a continuous stream of stars. These can be aimed in any direction after you start shooting. ● Hold Down and Shoot to create a wind tunnel to suck up nearby kedama; you can hold the wind tunnel open as long as you like. When ready to fire, hold the direction you'd like them to go in, and release the Fire button. ● Holding Down + Shoot on a base works on purifying a base to capture it. You can do a bit, walk away, and resume later if you must. Button 2 [X]: Jump ● Sanae can perform two midair jumps, and jumps really high to boot! ● In midair, hit Down + Jump button to hover on a whirlwind; this effectively puts Sanae in "standing on ground" status in midair so you can use the wind tunnel mid-jump. (Just jump to come down from your whirlwind.) Button 3 [C]: Call Utsuho ● You can only call Utsuho when standing on the ground or on a whirlwind. ● Hold the button and use Left/Right to select from the command list. ● Remember that Utsuho is a bird-brain; if you order her to Attack, she'll do it in the same direction you're facing, and she prefers to stay above your position. Button 4 [A]: Skip ● Useful for skipping boss dialogue. Description Concept: This is the second (and most recent) game in the Sanae Challenge series. Sanae returns to gather more faith by capturing kedama bases throughout the many laps of each stage, at the end of which you have to fight a boss. Also, you are joined by the hell raven herself, Utsuho! How It Works: In each stage, you have to capture kedama bases to gain faith and to move on to the later laps of the stage; your Faith value (the percentage on the right side of the screen) also acts as Sanae's health, so try and keep your faith high, or else you will fail the mission. On the last lap of the stage you must fight the boss and capture the final kedama base to finish the stage and move on. Utsuho: Once Utsuho joins halfway through stage 1 (she assists from the beginning of all other stages), she'll assist by using physical attacks when she feels like it, but you can hold the Call button to pick from a list of commands to issue to your bird-brained friend; you can order her to Attack to have her use her fusion energy to create a huge frontal blast, create a Barrier around yourself to prevent damage so you can capture bases more quickly, ask for Flight to hop on her back and fly around for a bit, or tell her to use Fusion to get rid of those ghost kedama! Kedama: Hitting kedama or flinging them around with the wind tunnel only temporarily stuns them; the only way to destroy them is to capture the base they came from. Different colors of kedama have different attributes or abilities (for example, black ones recover quickly, and green ones fire at you), so analyze and approach each situation accordingly.

Release Information Type: Action Platformer Developer: GATLING CAT Publisher: GATLING CAT Release: Comiket 81, December 31, 2011 Language: Half-and-Half (English for really important stuff, but dialogue and skill names are in Japanese.) Character Information Playable Characters: 3 (Momiji, Sanae, Kasen) Default Controls Customizable in-game Key Config. [Shift] = Attack / Confirm [Z] = Jump / Cancel [X] = Skill (uses currently-highlighted skill or item on Inventory Bar) [C] = Special (uses character's Special Attack) [A] = Switch Left (Inventory Bar) [T] = Switch Right (Inventory Bar) [Spacebar] = Pause Intermission Menu ● To Stage Select ● Stat Upgrade Store ● Training Area (asks difficulty) ● Help Text (isn't much help to English-speakers, as it's in Japanese) ● Back to Title Screen Description Sanae & Momie - With Ibarakasen or sometimes known as "Sanamomie" is the next generation of Katsugeki Kidan's series but the story is not related. The game was developed using the same engine and requires players to eradicate demons by using 3 heroines: Momiji Inubashiri, Sanae Kochiya and Kasen Ibaraki. Each girl comes with different abilities and actions. Their special moves can be executed by pressing the direction key combined with the attack button ("shift" key by default). Momiji is a great destroyer and good for close range, Sanae is long range attacker with barrage bullets, and Ibaraki is a demon power user with medium strength. For Starters: It appears to me that Gatling Cat has been receiving input from fans, and has responded in kind; that which is "Sanae & Momie" actually features three playable characters. Momiji, who starred in the first 3 games, plus Sanae and Kasen. You heard me right, Kasen Ibara. That, and it looks much nicer than even Katsugeki Kidan 3; the graphics have, compared to their other games, received a huge makeover (most noticeably the HUD, which now displays numbers as well as very colorful gauges). Other Stuff: This game, for the most part, generally plays almost identically to Katsugeki Kidan 3; after picking your girl and your difficulty level (Easy/Normal/Hard), you pick and play stages, where you kill regular enemies and a boss. As with KK3, you also level up in this game (and this time, all your stats increase automatically every level, and you don't assign level-up bonuses; rather, you use the gold you collect to purchase permanent stat increases, which is all you'll be using it for). Gold/XP Sutff: Unlike KK3, in this game, you do lose the Gold you collected in a stage if you die enough times to get sent back to the Intermission screen (which is now 3, and you can earn extra lives now too!). You do still get to keep your experience, however (even though it looks like it says on the pause screen that you won't). MP-Consuming Skills: Also, rather than clearing silly challenges for Nitori to earn skills and/or purchasing them from the shop, they cut that crap out too: you start with 4 skills (selectable on your Inventory Bar) and earn 2 more for beating two specific bosses. Upgrades to skills you have are easily purchasable in the shop. (Your Special also consumes MP, and as far as I can tell is not upgradeable.) SP-Consuming Skills: Skills requiring you to press directional button(s) and hit Attack consume some of your Skill gauge instead of consuming your MP. Your SP regenerates automatically when you're not using it. Holdable Items!: Aside from finding instant-recovery rice cakes, you can also find what looks to be dark dumplings (around 10-15% HP restoration) and what appears to be a frosted filled donut (for 10-15% MP restoration), which you can hold up to 9 of each, and as with your skills, you simply select them on your Inventory Bar and hit the Skill button to eat them. (Not sure what that third item is yet, haven't gotten that far, but I assume it restores both HP and MP.)

Release Information Type: 2D Platformer Developer: Sweet Lapine Publisher: Sweet Lapine Release: Comiket 82, August 2012 Language: Japanese Description Plot Point: Well, this is easy. There isn't one. Literally. You have to game modes, (Rush & Challenge) and picking one just immediately tosses you straight into the game. How it Works: Well, you jump. And that's about it. Hina runs automatically at a set speed. There are gaps in the platforms, and it's your job to jump over them to make it to the exit/ as far as possible, depending on which mode you're playing. Also, Hina has double-jump capability. If the double-jump isn't enough for you, after you've used up both of your jumps you can continue to tap the jump button which will make Hina spin/hover up slowly into the air. However, you can't do this forever, as Hina has a stamina gauge which lowers as you spin. Items that I guess I can mention: Horseshoe-type orb item: Yeah, I'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to be, but it raises Hina's move speed. It also gives her silly little swirls where her feet should go. Just to mention that. "Orz" orbs: I think they say "Orz" in the middle. Not sure. However, I do know that they drain a heck ton of your stamina meter, so avoid touching them. EDIT: Apparently "orz" is some emote for defeat, so yeah. That's a thing. Applauds and stuff to Swfw Black hole-type orb: Yeah, sorry. I don't have a clue what this does. Someone should be kind enough to mention it, if you find out. Spirits: You find these all over the place. They're the bottom number in the top right corner of the screen. I guess they're added to your "score" or some such. Extras 1. Yeah, sorry, but I didn't do a very good job with the items. 2. The number in the very top-right corner is your distance. 3. The Green things next to your Stamina are your lives.
