Release Information Type: RPG Developer: FocasLens Publisher: FocasLens Release: Comiket 89, on December 30, 2015 Language: Japanese (English patch included but not installed) AKA Gensou Ningyou Enbu - Yume no Kakera Installation Instructions Refer to the video at the bottom of the page, courtesy of Drunken_Flower. The base game is also included with this download. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Description This is the expansion to the popular fangame, Touhou Puppet Dance Performance. It plays very similarly to the base game with the main differences being the story plays out in a slightly different order, and puppets featuring Touhou characters from 14.5 and 15 are now included, which the previous game did not have. Additionally, new areas can be found in the expansion, as well as a new puppet type, the Warped type. In this game's story, the player character finds themself transported to Gensokyo, to learn that a strange incident is occurring; many puppets shaped like familiar Touhou characters are running around Gensokyo, and no one knows where they're coming from. At the same time, people have learned to tame these puppets, and many are using them to battle one another in a form of new sport. Regardless, the player cannot return home until the incident is resolved; they decide to use these puppets to help solve the incident, so that they can return to the outside world (why would you ever do that though). For those who don't know anything about Touhou Puppet Dance Performance, it's basically Touhou in Pokemon form with a few key differences, those being that the equivalent to what IVs are in Pokemon are visible in TPDP. Instead of being a numerical value between 1 and 31, it's a letter grade between S and E-, S being the best a stat can be and E- being the worst a stat can be. The way moves are learned and EVs are gained is also significantly different; when you hit the requirements for learning a new move, you can learn it through the Edit screen of your puppet where you can learn a skill from the entire list of what's available to the puppet at that level, though they cost PP to learn which is gained through winning battles. You can also use PP to reinforce stats, which is basically EVs except you have objective control over them. Evolutions are handled in the form of style changes that every puppet has available from level 30 onward. Every puppet gets the option to evolve into any of three forms, two of which range across Power, Speed, Assist, or Defense, depending on the puppet. In Shard of Dreams, a new Extra style is available as the third option for any puppet to evolve into. For example, Chen at level 30 can choose to evolve into either Extra Chen, Speed Chen, or Assist Chen. You can only style change once though; the only way to reverse it is through reincarnation which is only available postgame. https://youtu.be/uO6S2akrRes

So I decided to share some of my Touhou animated cursors that I've been using lately with you guys, since most likely their original sources will be gone after some years like some already did. Have fun! Also, I do not own anything, I just made a pack with a bunch of cursors that some artists from NicoNicoDouga and Pixiv have made VirusTotal Scan: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/55be865e462bd4695c69125751d8725f6359a38731db2141bb155add856b2fe0

Release Information Type: Bullet Hell Developer: Team Shanghai Alice Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice Release: September 22, 2002 Language: English-Patched (Touhou Patch Center/THCRAP) Silhouette On Cover: Flandre Scarlet (Extra Boss) Character Information Playable Characters: 2 (Reimu, Marisa) Shot Types: 2 Each POC: Requires Max Power Description A thick scarlet mist is covering Gensokyo; it blocks out the sun, which causes affected areas to become cold. Our heroines believe the culprit lives in the newly-materialized Scarlet Devil Mansion, and so they depart with the goal of “questioning” those who live there. Mods * Retexture Patch This replaces all the imagery in the game with crisper, higher-resolution textures. Sprites are also updated with those from newer games. You pick between versions where the hitbox is never visible (as in vanilla) or always visible. * Focus-Only Hitbox Patch A patch that causes your hitbox to become visible when you’re Focusing (the behavior of all games after this one). (I don’t know if this is compatible with the Retex Patch.) Unique Gameplay Mechanics * This is the only Windows game where you cannot see your hitbox while focusing. Rank *A hidden value between 0 and 32, higher rank values increase bullet speed and the amount of bullets, having the most prominent effects in boss attacks. *Rank goes up as time surviving goes on and goes up dramatically with spell card caps. *Rank goes down by 16 when you are hit, not killed but hit, meaning a deathbomb WILL decrease rank. Some spellcards decrease rank when bombed IE Water Elf. Scorefile * This scorefile was provided by an unknown source. * It has true 100% completion status; Extra is unlocked for all characters and shot types. Th06 Scorefile (EoSD).zip

Seemingly there to help solve an incident that occured recently that involves mysterious puppets that seemingly came out of nowhere. These puppets represent all of the maidens of Gensokyo, and its up to the player to solve the incident whilst finding a way back home. Gameplay: Plays heavy similar to Pokemon. If you've ever played Pokemon, you'll quickly grasp this game. A few key differences though. All the "IV" stats are now shown through Ranks (C-S+) "EV" stats, movesets, and even abilities can be changed on the dime using the PP that puppets receive throughout each fight. All "HMs" are replaced by key items that serve the same purpose. Puppets are caught through something called soul threads, these require you to set, then KO the puppet to catch them. Completely opposite to Pokemon. A whole new type table (See "Other Sources" for info on how to see this type table) Other Sources: A good site for extra helpful information on TPDP is of course, the TPDP wiki. Link here. Here you can view the puppet dex, type table, abilities, and even the locations for the puppets.

This is a tool that gives you a panel from which you can run any official game you've got, as well as offering support for adding your own entries to a different tab for fangames. Naturally, this does require you to tell the launcher where each and every one of your executables are, but that's about it for all the Windows games. (Entries on the official games tab go from being black and white to lighting up in color as you tell the launcher where each game is.) It's a bit fickle when it comes to the Retro Era games, as it can only be given a shortcut to Neko Project II (which is what will open when you click one of the retro games). It also has the ability to download and extract replays to the appropriate games' folders, having its own built-in browser that goes to Gensokyo.org, RoyalFlare.net, and ThReplays.BlogSpot.com for easy acquisition. If you don't like the button images, don't fret; you can check an option in the Settings tab for custom game images so you can assign your own button images! Instructions for how to format the pictures so that the launcher will read them properly are found in the Settings. Supports all official games to date (all the way up to LoLK) and any fangames you put on its Fan Games tab.

Release Information Type: Fighter Developer: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier Release: 2017 Language: Japanese Silhouette On Cover: Jo'on Yorigami and Shion Yorigami (Final Bosses) Character Information Playable Characters: 19 (Reimu, Marisa, Mokou, Nitori, Koishi, Ichirin, Futo, Byakuren, Miko, Mamizou, Kokoro, Shinmyoumaru, Kasen, Sumireko, Doremy, Tenshi, Yukari, Jo'on & Shion) Description With the Urban Legend incident still ongoing, a new urban legend comes into play; Perfect Possession. This phenomenon allows one person to take control over another person’s body. And of course, there exists those who seek to use this phenomenon for their own benefit… Unique Gameplay Mechanics Occult System Returning from Urban Legend in Limbo is the occult system. By pressing the Melee and Weak Attack buttons together, each character can unless their unique occult attacks. You can only do this while your occult meter (in the upper left/right of the screen) is active however. Last Words return as well, being activated by pressing the Strong Attack and Switch buttons together, with a full spellcard bar and a full occult bar. Pulling this off successfully deals massive damage, but using it makes it impossible to use Occult attacks or your Slave for the rest of the round. Master and Slave System By pressing the Switch button, you can tag out with your Slave character, or summon them to do an assist. Like the occult attacks, this can only be done while the occult meter is active, and also drains the occult meter while the Slave is active. While the Slave character is active, occult attacks cannot be used, but your health regenerates until there’s no white part of your health bar left. Slave characters can also add their own spellcards after a Master’s spellcard, by holding forward and pressing the Switch button during it while you have a full spellcard bar.

Release Information Type: Bullet Hell Developer: Team Shanghai Alice Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice Release: Comiket 84, on August 12, 2013 Language: English-Patched (ThCrap Self-Updating Standalone) Silhouette On Cover: Shinmyoumaru Sukuna (Final Boss) Character Information Playable Characters: 3 (Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya) Shot Types: 2 Each Description Gensokyo is full of sounds of dissonance as an uprising takes place - Youkai are rebelling, and tsukumogami are turning up, evidently feeling it's "their time." The sky carries the sounds of a huge building, and the weapons of our three protagonists are acting strange - they'll have to decide if they want to risk rolling with the punches, or discarding their bewitched implements for something more reliable they know they can trust as they investigate the uprising - what's causing these otherwise weak youkai to feel they are now capable of turning Gensokyo upside-down...? Unique Gameplay Mechanics POC Bonuses * In this game, there's a new way to earn Life and Bomb pieces - you want to auto-collect lots of items in a single visit to the top of the screen. * Each time you pass the POC to auto-collect items, your pass is judged, and you will receive a Bonus designation of 0.5, 0.8, 1.2, 1.6, or 2.0, depending upon how many items you attract on that pass. * If you get a bonus of any sort, you'll receive a Bomb Piece for the first four bonuses you earn, and then one Life Piece for the fifth, before the cycle repeats itself. * Every time you get a "Bonus 2.0" designation, you get a Life Piece regardless of where you are in the cycle, without interrupting it. * It's also worth noting that in this game, you only need 3 Life Pieces to put together an Extend. Shot Type Differences * Similar to TD, above, characters have two shot types, and the stronger one switches depending on whether you're Focused or not. * Your chosen shot type also happens to affect who you face off against as the mid- and main boss of stage 4. Scorefile * This scorefile was provided by Dark Kijin. * It has 100% Spell Card availability in Spell Card Practice. * It has 100% Extra availability and clearance. * Main game clearance is spotty; Easy and Normal are cleared as all characters and shot types, but Hard only has one clearance as Marisa A; Lunatic is entirely devoid of any clears. -> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! Release Information Type: Breakout Developer: Zun Publisher: Zun Release: 1997 Language: English-Patched Character Information Playable Characters: 1 (Reimu) Shot Types: 1 (All your shots can do is change the trajectory of the Yin-Yang Orb and absorb bullets; they can't damage enemies or flip tiles.) Description The strength of the seal that keeps demons and other evil creatures from entering Gensokyo via the Hakurei Shrine, which also serves as an entrance to the "outside world" as you and I know it - has been diminishing. Reimu decides to go in of her own volition to see whether the cause is in there, and needs beaten up. (It does.) Unique Gameplay Mechanics Breakout * The screen never scrolls; this is built in the style of breakout games such as "Arkanoid," featuring a large Yin-Yang Orb that Reimu hits around the screen with her techniques. The Yin-Yang Orb and Bombs (under specific situations) are the only things that can damage enemies. However, you can also be crushed by the orb if you let Reimu get hit by it. Reimu's Abilities * Reimu will fire her shot upwards when you hit Z. This shot cannot damage enemies, but it can erase a bullet it hits and change the Yin-Yang Orb's movement when it connects. * She can also use her gohei for similar, more direct purposes when you hit X while standing still. She will swing her gohei back and forth once, her first swing being stronger than her second (her second swing can't deflect bullets either). * Combining movement, Z and X can make her do various other tricks, like a Slide Kick (moving + X), a Flip Kick (Slide + X at the end without pressing left or right (or pressing the opposite direction)), and a Shot Barrage (Slide + Z at the end). Bombs * Even the earliest game had a Bomb system, despite how different it is than the rest. You start the game with a single bomb, the amount can't be changed. You can only receive a bomb if Reimu gets hit, but regular tiles can give you a bomb too if you're lucky. To use a bomb, press left, right and Z at the same time, or Z and X twice. Bombs will hit most, if not all, onscreen tiles once, and if the orb comes into contact with Reimu while it is active, the orb will be launched instead. Bombs can only damage bosses if you have no lives left. Scorefile * This scorefile provided by GlitchyMissingno. * Since there are no unlocks in HRtP, this scorefile is basically here exclusively for formality's sake. Release Information Type: Vertical Bullet Hell Shooter Developer: Studio Ramble & D.N.A. Softwares Publisher: DNA Software Release: March 21, 2005 Language: Japanese Default Controls Arrow Keys: Movement Z: Fire / Select X: Bomb Shift: Focus Movement Description Moedan is a training game for newcomers to Touhou. You play as Flandre Scarlet and are given two spellcard options: Wide Shot and Linear Shot. Bombs clear bullets but do no damage. Alice Margatroid appears as a boss. The game is based on the player trying to clear spell cards, where each Spell Card have different patterns and provide players the opportunity to practice dealing with it. In each stage the player can earn silver medal by shooting down enough enemies/the boss within the time limit, or earn gold medal by surviving until the time runs out. Story Mode Story mode functions the same as the "Imperishable Night" Practice section. Flandre must clear 50 spellcards, but don't worry. There isn't a set order in which you must clear one, so you can always skip one you are having trouble with and go back to it later. If you time a spell card out, you get a gold medal instead of a silver one. Freeplay Mode Freeplay mode allows you to play the same spellcards from Story Mode, but you may add a few more options. You may increase the number of lives and bombs you start with, and you may choose as to whether or not to double the spellcard.

Release Information Type: Fighting Developer: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier Release: Reitaisai 12, on May 10, 2015 Language: English-Patched (MotK 1.00) Silhouette On Cover: Sumireko Usami (Final Boss) Character Information Playable Characters: 14 (Reimu, Marisa, Mokou, Nitori, Koishi, Ichirin, Futo, Byakuren, Miko, Mamizou, Kokoro, Shinmyoumaru, Kasen, Sumireko) Description Urban legends have begun circulating through the Human Village, scaring the kids and worrying the adults. Of course, our girls aren't afraid of a few rumors, but they're following the Gensokyo girls around. At first, since it was discovered that these anomalies could be controlled as long as the host did not fear them, they simply treated them as playthings, because they could - until one night, when things started going wrong... Unique Gameplay Mechanics Occult Orbs * Around 20 seconds into a battle, an Occult Orb will begin appearing. About 5 seconds later, it reveals itself. * A light representing the players (red for player 1, blue for player 2) appears when they touch an Orb, which has space for 7 lights. * If you have more lights than your opponent, then you get the orb. * Your orb will bounce off you if you touch it. Try not to bounce it toward your opponent, because they may be able to tag it with a light! * Any attack that requires Orbs will be stronger the more Orbs you have. * Once you collect 1 Occult Orb, you'll be able to use your Urban Legend, which is character-dependent. However, if you take damage after using it, you won't be able to use it again for a while. * If you collect 4 Occult Orbs, you can use your Last Word. All Last Words are based upon the characters' Urban Legends. Once you utilize a Last Word, you'll drain all your orbs. Mystery Spots * Each time an Occult Orb appears, an effect comes into play, similar to how Weather effects work in Soku, except in this game, it's called a Mystery Spot. This lasts until either someone gets the orb or it disappears. There are 7 different effects; knowing what they do could help you win your battles! Spell Bar * In the lower corner of the screen is a bar that slowly fills as you fight - your Spell Bar. * When it's full, you can use the spell card you chose before the battle. * If you charge it twice, that makes it even more powerful! * When you use your card, it drains your spell power entirely. Health Bar Coloration * In this game, Blue Health is your current health, and White Health is recoverable health, which is how much you get back for certain healing methods. If you want an example, Mokou takes advantage of this; when she uses fire-based attacks, her blue health depletes, leaving recoverable white health instead, and then when she uses Resurrection, she regains all her white health. Scorefile * This scorefile was provided by Wolfdragon Rex. * It unlocks Sumireko. * It has Gold-level clears for all characters on all difficulties, with exceptions on Lunatic for Futo, Miko, Mamizou, Koishi, and Kokoro. -> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! Release Information Type: Bullet Hell Developer: Zun Publisher: Zun Release: 1998 Language: English-Patched Character Information Playable Characters: 2 (Reimu, Marisa) Shot Types: 2 Each Description Youkai have once again begun to swarm the Hakurei Shrine, prompting Reimu and Marisa to separately head for a lake in the mountains - the apparent source of a tremendous power surge. The two reach a gateway underneath the lake which transports them to an odd fantasy world - the location of the mansion Mugenkan, where the mastermind supposedly lurks. Unique Gameplay Mechanics Introduction of Focusing * This is the first bullet hell game in the series where you can Focus, which will slow you down for easier bullet-dodging (although your hitbox doesn't become visible when doing this as it does later on in the series). Hidden Rank System * As unbelievable as it may sound, this entry in the series brings with it a Rank system. Basically, the better you play in one run (collect lots of items, gain lives, don't bomb or die), the higher the Rank will be, the harder attacks will become, while dying and scoring little with decrease the Rank. This mechanic disappears after Touhou 7 - Perfect Cherry Blossom. Dream Bonus * For all your scoring needs, this game introduces the Dream mechanic. Aside from Power and Point items, the Dream item makes its appearance. These items increase your Dream by a set amount per item, maxing out at 12800. This value is added to the Point item's, so for example, grabbing a Point item at the top of the screen (51200 points) with 12800 Dream will bring the item's value to 64000. Scorefile * It has 25% completion status (Extra is only unlocked for Reimu A). -> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! If you have a scorefile which improves upon the progress in this existing file, please submit it to us! Th04 scroefile (Derllyn).zip

EOSD Team Meiling, Sakuya, Patchouli, Flandre Hakurei Team Cirno, Alice, Marisa, Reimu, Suika PCB Team Chen, Ran, Youmu, Yuyuko, Yukari IN Team Tewi, Reisen, Eirin, Kaguya, Mokou PoFV Team Medicine, Yuka, Aya, Komachi, Shikeiki MoF Team Minoriko, Hina, Nitori, Sanae, Kanako Special Extras (2) (Available only in Free Select Mode) Keine, Suwako RPS Information The three unit affinities work like a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and knowing which unit type is better than another can help you make decisions as to which units to buy when you're playing on a difficulty that gives you info as to which enemies are next, so you can attack or defend better: * Melee is strong against Danmaku * Danmaku is strong against Flying * Flying is strong against Melee Spellcards You'll have 5 spellcards that you can use a single time each if you really get in a pinch that grant temporary bonuses; use them depending on exactly what kind of pinch you're in. From left to right: * Fire: Damages all enemies in an amount equal to half their max HP (also damages offscreen enemies). * Water: Respawn rate of dead units is increased tenfold. * Wind: Increases all animation speeds for your units (movement and attack speeds). * Metal: The bookshelf becomes temporarily invulnerable: enemies cannot steal books. * Earth: Your units gain temporary invulnerability; nothing can harm them. Special Note When computer-controlled, Marisas don't bother with attacks: instead, they go straight for the bookshelf (this applies to all difficulties, so be careful when you're up against a large wave of Marisas!) Special Modes Once you meat the games as all teams and earn Free Select, you also unlock the special Extra modes: *100k Mode. Start with 100,000 coins. *Swarm Mode. Waves contain even more enemies. *Thief Mode. None of the enemies bother attacking: like Marisas, they will now all rush for the bookshelf. *Dual Mode. Waves will now consist of a mix of 2 different characters. *Surround Mode. Each wave will now come from absolutely everywhere instead of having one particular offscreen area where they spawn from. *Boss Rush Mode. "Regular" waves will now consist of 3 normal-level boss characters, and "boss" waves will now consist of one giant boss. *Tower Defense Mode. Your units spawn on top of platforms with no way down; enemies will rush for the bookshelves. *Endless Mode. Even after the clock reaches midnight, the waves will just keep coming. Description * Please note that this game ONLY runs in an unchangeable 1024x768 resolution; if your monitor's resolution is smaller, there is absolutely no way to change the game's resolution to fit; even attempting to fullscreen it or force 640x480 through compatibility options does not work. Plot Point: Patchouli is sick and tired of Marisa stealing books from the library (tell me something I don't know), so she decides to strengthen its defenses by creating magical dolls to guard the books. Unfortunately, Marisa stole the book Patchy wrote on how to make the dolls, so everyone else knows how to make them too. Patchy's only hope is to create as many dolls as she can to defend her last stronghold that is the library. How It Works: You start with some gold to purchase your initial supply of units, which spawn at start point(s); each unit is unique, is one of three types (melee, danmaku, or flying), and has special abilities. You have as much time as you like to determine starting units and positions before starting. To begin, hit the large [Start] button in the lower-right to start the clock and the battling. As each wave of enemy units attacks, you can either let your units' proximity reactions go, or you can tell individuals or highlight groups of units and command them to go on the offensive. Defeating enemy units awards you more gold to make more units so you can handle larger and more powerful enemy groups, whereas if you neglect your duties, the enemies will make it to the bookshelves you're defending - if they steal all the books, it's game over. When the clock in the upper-right hits midnight, you get a wave of boss-type Marisas as the final wave. If you manage to fend that off without losing all your books, you win! Character Info: At first, you only start with Patchy's own EoSD team, but beating the game as each new team unlocks the next on the list; if you beat the game as all six normal teams, you unlock the 2 special characters and the ability to create a custom team with any characters you want using Free Select Mode. Difficulty Info: The game comes with 4 difficulty settings (Easy, Normal, Hard, and Lunatic). The difficulty you choose determines the following things: * Total time. Easier settings are shorter and less involved; higher difficulties last much longer (the clock moves much slower), forcing more strategy on your part as to who to upgrade or purchase more units for. * Time and warnings between waves. Easier settings provide more time between waves, and provide more info as to what they consist of (Easy tells you everything, including exact character, type, and where they're coming from; upping your difficulty tells you less and less until you get to Lunatic, which tells you absolutely nothing). * Wave strength. Easy is very forgiving; upping your difficulty means stronger waves appear sooner and more frequently. * Accessibility of the bookshelf to enemies. Easy puts tons of obstacles in the way, Lunatic hardly gives the enemies anything to walk around at all

Release Information Type: Strategy RPG(SRPG) Developer: さんぼん堂 Publisher: さんぼん堂 Release: Comiket 78, 2010 Language: English-Patched Version 1.02 Version: 1.1.2 Other Vitals Playable Characters(Reimu & Marisa's Story) Reimu, Marisa, Nitori, Alice, Keine, Cirno, Daiyousei, Rumia, Youmu, Akyu, and Sakuya. *Playable Characters(Sakuya's Story) Sakuya, Koakuma, Patchouli, Remilia, Meiling, Alice, Flandre, and Komachi. *Please Note: This game can be played with a Playstation controller. Description Plot Point: This game retells Embodiment of Scarlet Devil with the trademark red mist acting in the beginning as the catalyst for plot development; however, there are surprisingly many plot twists, character developments and cameo guest appearances from other games as well as portraying a prologue to Mountain of Faith's story. Altogether, the storyline is beautiful and much more rich in drama compared to the original Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. How It Works: This is a fantastic little SRPG done in the style of the "Super Robot Taisen" series. It works like you would expect a traditional SRPG to, except with expected Touhou elements; for example, if an enemy puts up a danmaku field, your girls will take penalties if they wander in without Focusing first, which negates said penalties. (Your girls can move much further per turn when Unfocused, of course.) For each exchange you get into, you can also freely enable or disable the nicely-animated scenes (which take a while to load, but are well-done; I usually enable them for exchanges with bosses). Super Robot Taisen's "Wife" System also makes an appearance in this game, enabling your girls to learn special abilities beyond normal skills. Also available are things like upgrading your girls' stats and skills, and four difficulties to choose from (you can also pick Reimu or Marisa as the protagonist). If you clear the game, it is planned to allow your game-clear save to be able to carry over to the game's future sequel. Notes * English manual included.

Arrow Keys: Move Character/Menu Navigation Z: Slide/Dash (Menus: Confirm) X: Ranged Attack ?: Melee Attack V: Shield (Menus: Cancel) S: Ascend ?: Descend Q: Lock On W: Center Camera A: Trigger/Shift; this is used for spell casting, as follows: -> A&X: Spell Card -> A&V: EX Spell Card -> A&C: High-Tension Spell Card -> A&Z: Climax Spell Card -> A&S: Mirage Slide Front -> A&D: Mirage Slide Rear Space: Change CPU Behavior Enter: Pause/Menu/Start Button Esc: Pause/Quit Description There are a total of 3 "game" items available for download, located below the game information. * Touhou Sky Arena -Hayate- (the original game) and Touhou Sky Arena -Kurenai- (the sequel) are individual, standalone games, which will each work fine by themselves if you like. However, having both is necessary if you want to link the games (thereby creating Matsuri). * The third item, Touhou Sky Arena -Matsuri-, is a game-linking patch that links Hayate to Kurenai, in effect forming one cohesive game; thus it requires you to have both games to work. To alleviate confusion, think of the process as a synthesis you'd do in a video game: Hayate and Kurenai are the base materials, and the Matsuri patch is what you actually perform the synthesis with in order to link the two games. * The individual games must both be formally installed for the Matsuri patch to read them; therefore, to enable you to create Matsuri, we cannot follow our usual extract-and-play format for Hayate and Kurenai - instead, in each game's download, what is provided is the game's installer and a bulk update patch that will bring that game fully up-to-date. Extras * Networking Instructions by Bp3500 * Custom BGM Guide * Spirit Orbs Translation How Character Selection Works From the top to the bottom of the picture seen on the right. Control: Set to 1P-4P, CPU, or an empty slot. Team: Set to Team A, B, C, or D. Character: Choose from the available characters, or pick Random. Type: Either shot type A or B. The only real difference between the two is the Ranged Attack (X) and Spell Card (A+X). This includes charged shots which are done by holding down the corresponding button(s) and letting go. Level: Set the handicap. More stars equals more health. Main Menu Explanation Arcade: Basically Story Mode; you play through that character's story. Sky Adventure (Matsuri Only): Each time you clear a stage, you get to pick from 2 places you want to go next. Vs: Select 1-4 players to fight. You can set teams or have a battle royale. Network: Play with other people online through the internet. You can host locally, or connect to the FlyNetwork System lobby. Survival: Fight endless battles which get harder with each victory until you're defeated to see how long you can survive. Tutorial: A ticker near the bottom will display various commands and teach you how to play/fight. Training: Set CPU actions and difficulty and practice with them to get used to the game. Play Recording: Keeps track of certain game statistics. Replay: Review saved replays. Options: Adjust a few in-game settings. Exit Game: Closes the game. Understanding the Tension Meter Each BGM possesses its own unique tension meter. Tension level affects play by enabling or disabling different abilities. As time passes, a little bar passes through the meter, indicating where the tension level currently stands. This process repeats when the music loops. Low Tension * Disables Fast Fly * Disables Mirage Slide Normal Tension * Characters have access to their typical ability set, minus the specials mentioned below. High Tension * Unlocks High-Tension abilities. * Melee Combo Extension (to 5 Hits) Climax Tension * Unlocks High-Tension & Climax abilities. * Melee Combo Extension (to 7 Hits) * Unlocks Finale Attack Individual Game Information & Downloads Touhou Sky Arena -Matsuri- Game included in the download Year of Release: 2012 Version: 1.58 This is a game-linking patch program. It performs the linking of Hayate and Kurenai (below). This makes all content from both games available, including all characters and stages. It also makes Sky Adventure mode available for play. This is a tool and hardly contains any content itself; it merely performs the synthesis. You must have both Hayate and Kurenai installed, as well as fully-updating both, before this patch can link the two games together. If you don't have both of them, download them below in their subsections. How Do I Use This? This is pretty easy to use. It should find both the component games just fine by itself if both are properly installed on your system; you can just tell it to go ahead and perform the linking process. It's important to note that once the games are linked, you can no longer play them in an un-linked manner (although, why would you want to do that when you have full access to everything this way?). So What Does It Do? Where's the Matsuri Folder? You won't have a combined Matsuri folder, nor an official Matsuri executable, when the merge is done; both of the component games will still exist in their usual folders (so in a physical, folder-visible sense, the games remain separate). Instead, what happens is, Matsuri will replace the individual games' executables with ones that are capable of reading data from the other game's folder on a technical level. Well Then How Do I Play Matsuri? You just run either Hayate or Kurenai with one of their newly-replaced replaced executables, and if everything was done correctly, Matsuri will automatically take over from there. The only difference the chosen executable makes is which opening video you'll see when you open the game. Release Information Type: Vertical Bullet Hell Shooter Developer: ??? Publisher: ??? Release: June 2, 2013 Language: Japanese Description Plot Point: The same as the original game. After a mysterious red mist clouds over Gensokyo, Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame take it upon themselves to investigate the cause of the incident. Gameplay: It’s the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, created to be reminiscent of classic 8-bit games. The game is almost identical to it’s original counterpart. Characters are the same, as are shot types. However, there are a few differences. For starters, the game ends after stage 3. There is a lack of a visible power gauge on the right side of the screen, only one difficulty, and each bosses’s lifebar is replaced with a series of squares, similar to those of early NES games. After beating Stage 3, Omake mode is unlocked.

As time goes on, fake girls show up, and the cave is proving to have corrupting qualities. Think of Touhou Hack and Slash in terms of general gameplay. How It Works: As noted from the title, this game is reminiscent of Blizzard's Diablo. You explore the one dungeon (the cave) and kill monsters in a hack and slash style. At first you control Reimu and Marisa, but you can swap partners with any of the girls in town and the other areas you will unlock. You can switch places with your partner as well, allowing you to build your own two-person team. Patches: The game should hopefully be patched in English and with the Oni patch.

Description Plot Point: The game starts out allowing you to choose between Sakuya, or Remilia, their storylines vary depending on what character you pick. The game's plot starts out as attemption to cure Remilia's boredom by hunting Gensokyo's Superstitions of giant monsters, but soon scales into a full mystery adventure. From discovering hoaxes to rescuing lost "maid"ends. remilia and Sakuya are determinded to solve the mysteries plaguing Gensokyo. How it works: The game starts slow so the player can get axquainted to the gameplay easily. The action is moderately pace, and is rarely required to progress although, it definitely makes the game significantly more difficult if you just rush bosses down every time. There's a level select map and different locations are unlocked and re-locked depending on where you are in the story line. The mansion can be returned to, to save the game with patchouli. Rinnosuke's shop will become available later in the game. Touhou Koukayaku actually is a vocal and instrumental album released by Conagusuri at Comiket 78. Later, when new album "Touhou Shinmayaku" released at Comiket 79, the game version of Touhou Koukayaku was included as an additional item. At first, you'll play as Byakuren Hijiri. but after beating the bosses you are allowed to switch characters. Just like Conagusuri's Gensoukyou Fantasia, this game also uses tracks and includes promotional videos taken from the original album. Plot Point: I dunno, it's Japanese so I can't read it, something to do with Nue and you must defeat her for some reason, so yeah have fun with that...... BYAKURENMAN! ALL THE WAY ACROSS JAPAN! How it works: It's a Megaman type game, you go to stages and do your thing, except after each stage you recruit the members of the Palanquin ship, and use them to aid you in your mission to beat Nue for some reason. Yay fighting someone for an unknown reason! Difference In Characters: As you unlock each character you will begin to see the differences they have between each other, the main factors to look out for are: Float time, movement speed and weapon type. Different Sections: In each stage there is four sections (The last section is the boss battle) and every time you enter a new section, your health is refilled, so no having to look for cheese (The health restoration items) before you move on. UFOs: In order to fight the boss rush you must collect UFOs in each stage, you can find the location of said UFOs by getting Nazrin and looking around in each stage until Nazrin gets a blue circle on her, how you get the UFOs when this happens? Well, you go look around the area where Nazrin is all "Oh man, a UFO is around here." (Normally left or up of where the indicator goes off) and turn into Shou to reach the areas with the UFOs, once you have collected them all the question mark stage will now be available to enter (The picture will show all of the bosses now that you have all of the UFOs) and good times will be had if you loved fighting the bosses of the game. Release Information Type: Single-Screen Beat-'Em-Up Developer: Lion Heart Publisher: Lion Heart Release: Comiket 76, August 15, 2009 Version: 1.21 (Includes Training & Desperate Mode) Language: English (Well, everywhere you really need it.) Character Information Playable Characters: 3 (Alice, Marisa, Patchouli - you pick a pair) Description Concept: Each area is a single screen with some platforms and monsters; defeating everything clears the stage. There are five chapters, consisting of 5 stages each, complete with a boss fight as the final stage of each chapter. How It Works: You choose a pair of girls to play as, and control both. You start off in control of the girl you picked first (called your "master") but you can switch with your other character (called your "slave") anytime you want. Both girls have their own independent HP gauges, but share their CP and the SP gauge. Your Chain Points (CP) are used to swap girls and for directional button special moves, and recharge themselves after you don't do either for a bit. Your max CP is extended by 1 for each boss you defeat. Your SP can be used to use spell cards, or resurrect a dead partner (First Aid). Advanced Strategy Slave Orders By default, your Slave's function is set to "follow," where they follow you closely so you can swap easily. However, if you hold Down and hit [Swap], you change the order to "ambush," where the Slave stays put until you swap or change the order back, allowing you to use advanced tactics to backstab enemies, or bat them back and forth for huge damage. Slaves waiting patiently under ambush orders regenerate HP. First Aid It's hard to do without your partner. If they should perish in battle, you can stand over their body and hold Down and hit [Spell Card] to sacrifice one spell card to resurrect your partner. Training You can use Training on any non-boss stage; when choosing a stage, hit [Swap] instead of [Attack] to confirm. In Training, enemies don't move or attack, and you can practice all you want; just pause and exit when done. Please note that if you try to use Training Mode on a boss stage, it will crash the game. Boss Rush If you've earned the True End on any difficulty for a pairing (by beating the Secret Chapter), you earn the right to attempt the Boss Rush with that pairing for that difficulty; when selecting your stage, hit left from 1-1 to highlight and choose Boss Rush. Desperate Mode If you manage to get the True End on Lunatic with a pairing, you earn a fifth ridiculously hard difficulty setting for that pairing called Desperate Mode, which will be found under the selection for Lunatic difficulty.

This is a tool that will allow you to extract, modify, and repack game data. Specifically, what this tool can get for you is: > th*.dat files - Game Archives (Can Extract & Repack) > .anm files - Image Archives and Animation Data (Can Extract, Convert to .png, Repack) > .ecl files - Stage Scripts (Can Dump & Recompile) [These files are what contain the contain enemy layouts and danmaku patterns.] > .msg files - Dialogue (Can Dump & Recompile) > .std files - Background Scripts (Can Dump & Recreate) We've included the latest version of the GUI, which is found in the Bin folder. At the moment, the GUI supports all of the non-Retro bullet hell and photography games (no fighters); it's important to note that for games the GUI doesn't support, you can still run the appropriate command line executable to get your data the hard way.
