So I decided to share some of my Touhou animated cursors that I've been using lately with you guys, since most likely their original sources will be gone after some years like some already did. Have fun! Also, I do not own anything, I just made a pack with a bunch of cursors that some artists from NicoNicoDouga and Pixiv have made VirusTotal Scan: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/55be865e462bd4695c69125751d8725f6359a38731db2141bb155add856b2fe0

Release Information Type: Fighter Developer: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier Release: 2017 Language: Japanese Silhouette On Cover: Jo'on Yorigami and Shion Yorigami (Final Bosses) Character Information Playable Characters: 19 (Reimu, Marisa, Mokou, Nitori, Koishi, Ichirin, Futo, Byakuren, Miko, Mamizou, Kokoro, Shinmyoumaru, Kasen, Sumireko, Doremy, Tenshi, Yukari, Jo'on & Shion) Description With the Urban Legend incident still ongoing, a new urban legend comes into play; Perfect Possession. This phenomenon allows one person to take control over another person’s body. And of course, there exists those who seek to use this phenomenon for their own benefit… Unique Gameplay Mechanics Occult System Returning from Urban Legend in Limbo is the occult system. By pressing the Melee and Weak Attack buttons together, each character can unless their unique occult attacks. You can only do this while your occult meter (in the upper left/right of the screen) is active however. Last Words return as well, being activated by pressing the Strong Attack and Switch buttons together, with a full spellcard bar and a full occult bar. Pulling this off successfully deals massive damage, but using it makes it impossible to use Occult attacks or your Slave for the rest of the round. Master and Slave System By pressing the Switch button, you can tag out with your Slave character, or summon them to do an assist. Like the occult attacks, this can only be done while the occult meter is active, and also drains the occult meter while the Slave is active. While the Slave character is active, occult attacks cannot be used, but your health regenerates until there’s no white part of your health bar left. Slave characters can also add their own spellcards after a Master’s spellcard, by holding forward and pressing the Switch button during it while you have a full spellcard bar.

Release Information Type: RPG Developer: FocasLens Publisher: FocasLens Release: Comiket 89, on December 30, 2015 Language: Japanese (English patch included but not installed) AKA Gensou Ningyou Enbu - Yume no Kakera Installation Instructions Refer to the video at the bottom of the page, courtesy of Drunken_Flower. The base game is also included with this download. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Description This is the expansion to the popular fangame, Touhou Puppet Dance Performance. It plays very similarly to the base game with the main differences being the story plays out in a slightly different order, and puppets featuring Touhou characters from 14.5 and 15 are now included, which the previous game did not have. Additionally, new areas can be found in the expansion, as well as a new puppet type, the Warped type. In this game's story, the player character finds themself transported to Gensokyo, to learn that a strange incident is occurring; many puppets shaped like familiar Touhou characters are running around Gensokyo, and no one knows where they're coming from. At the same time, people have learned to tame these puppets, and many are using them to battle one another in a form of new sport. Regardless, the player cannot return home until the incident is resolved; they decide to use these puppets to help solve the incident, so that they can return to the outside world (why would you ever do that though). For those who don't know anything about Touhou Puppet Dance Performance, it's basically Touhou in Pokemon form with a few key differences, those being that the equivalent to what IVs are in Pokemon are visible in TPDP. Instead of being a numerical value between 1 and 31, it's a letter grade between S and E-, S being the best a stat can be and E- being the worst a stat can be. The way moves are learned and EVs are gained is also significantly different; when you hit the requirements for learning a new move, you can learn it through the Edit screen of your puppet where you can learn a skill from the entire list of what's available to the puppet at that level, though they cost PP to learn which is gained through winning battles. You can also use PP to reinforce stats, which is basically EVs except you have objective control over them. Evolutions are handled in the form of style changes that every puppet has available from level 30 onward. Every puppet gets the option to evolve into any of three forms, two of which range across Power, Speed, Assist, or Defense, depending on the puppet. In Shard of Dreams, a new Extra style is available as the third option for any puppet to evolve into. For example, Chen at level 30 can choose to evolve into either Extra Chen, Speed Chen, or Assist Chen. You can only style change once though; the only way to reverse it is through reincarnation which is only available postgame. https://youtu.be/uO6S2akrRes

IMPORTANT: If you have problems with the games such as insanely high FPS counts or glitchy full screen, download this and put the contents of the zip into the folder of the wonky game. 90 percent of the time will fix the problem. Release Information Type: Bullet Hell Developer: Team Shanghai Alice Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice Release: September 22, 2002 Language: English-Patched (Touhou Patch Center/THCRAP) Silhouette On Cover: Flandre Scarlet (Extra Boss) Character Information Playable Characters: 2 (Reimu, Marisa) Shot Types: 2 Each POC: Requires Max Power Description A thick scarlet mist is covering Gensokyo; it blocks out the sun, which causes affected areas to become cold. Our heroines believe the culprit lives in the newly-materialized Scarlet Devil Mansion, and so they depart with the goal of “questioning” those who live there. Mods * Retexture Patch This replaces all the imagery in the game with crisper, higher-resolution textures. Sprites are also updated with those from newer games. You pick between versions where the hitbox is never visible (as in vanilla) or always visible. * Focus-Only Hitbox Patch A patch that causes your hitbox to become visible when you’re Focusing (the behavior of all games after this one). (I don’t know if this is compatible with the Retex Patch.) Unique Gameplay Mechanics * This is the only Windows game where you cannot see your hitbox while focusing. Rank *A hidden value between 0 and 32, higher rank values increase bullet speed and the amount of bullets, having the most prominent effects in boss attacks. *Rank goes up as time surviving goes on and goes up dramatically with spell card caps. *Rank goes down by 16 when you are hit, not killed but hit, meaning a deathbomb WILL decrease rank. Some spellcards decrease rank when bombed IE Water Elf. Scorefile * This scorefile was provided by an unknown source. * It has true 100% completion status; Extra is unlocked for all characters and shot types. Th06 Scorefile (EoSD).zip

This is a tool that gives you a panel from which you can run any official game you've got, as well as offering support for adding your own entries to a different tab for fangames. Naturally, this does require you to tell the launcher where each and every one of your executables are, but that's about it for all the Windows games. (Entries on the official games tab go from being black and white to lighting up in color as you tell the launcher where each game is.) It's a bit fickle when it comes to the Retro Era games, as it can only be given a shortcut to Neko Project II (which is what will open when you click one of the retro games). It also has the ability to download and extract replays to the appropriate games' folders, having its own built-in browser that goes to Gensokyo.org, RoyalFlare.net, and ThReplays.BlogSpot.com for easy acquisition. If you don't like the button images, don't fret; you can check an option in the Settings tab for custom game images so you can assign your own button images! Instructions for how to format the pictures so that the launcher will read them properly are found in the Settings. Supports all official games to date (all the way up to LoLK) and any fangames you put on its Fan Games tab.

Seemingly there to help solve an incident that occured recently that involves mysterious puppets that seemingly came out of nowhere. These puppets represent all of the maidens of Gensokyo, and its up to the player to solve the incident whilst finding a way back home. Gameplay: Plays heavy similar to Pokemon. If you've ever played Pokemon, you'll quickly grasp this game. A few key differences though. All the "IV" stats are now shown through Ranks (C-S+) "EV" stats, movesets, and even abilities can be changed on the dime using the PP that puppets receive throughout each fight. All "HMs" are replaced by key items that serve the same purpose. Puppets are caught through something called soul threads, these require you to set, then KO the puppet to catch them. Completely opposite to Pokemon. A whole new type table (See "Other Sources" for info on how to see this type table) Other Sources: A good site for extra helpful information on TPDP is of course, the TPDP wiki. Link here. Here you can view the puppet dex, type table, abilities, and even the locations for the puppets.

Release Information Type: Bullet Hell Developer: Team Shanghai Alice Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice Release: Comiket 64, on August 17, 2003 Language: English-Patched (ThCrap Self-Updating Standalone) Silhouette On Cover: Yukari Yakumo (Phantasm Stage Boss) Character Information Playable Characters: 3 (Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya) Shot Types: 2 Each POC: Requires Max Power, Always on during Extra Stage and Supernatural Border Description Somebody's somehow collecting springtime energy from Gensokyo (unbeknownst to our heroines, the purpose is to revive a giant sakura tree). This is making things unseasonably cold in Gensokyo - it feels like winter! However, when the girls go to investigate, they discover that the hidden objective behind this tree's revival may threaten Gensokyo even more than the chill already in effect... Unique Gameplay Mechanics Cherry Points * In this game, you can collect springtime energy, which is measured in Cherry Points. * Killing enemies while unfocused will get you more Cherry Points than if you're focused, but you can also collect Cherry Point Items to make the process go faster. Supernatural Border * If your CP reaches +50,000, the collected energy activates a Supernatural Border. * This border protects you from one hit until your Cherry value reaches 0 again; at that point, whether you ended up needing it or not, it disappears. * If you take a hit with a border up, it will wipe out all onscreen bullets. * If you don't take damage with your border up, you're awarded a sizable Border Bonus for managing to keep your border until its natural expiration. Increasing Point Value * The yellow number to the left of the slash (for example, 96530/100000) indicates how many points you get from Point Items when they're collected at the top of the screen. *Scorefile has 100% completion status. scoreth07.dat

Release Information Type: Breakout Developer: Zun Publisher: Zun Release: 1997 Language: English-Patched Character Information Playable Characters: 1 (Reimu) Shot Types: 1 (All your shots can do is change the trajectory of the Yin-Yang Orb and absorb bullets; they can't damage enemies or flip tiles.) Description The strength of the seal that keeps demons and other evil creatures from entering Gensokyo via the Hakurei Shrine, which also serves as an entrance to the "outside world" as you and I know it - has been diminishing. Reimu decides to go in of her own volition to see whether the cause is in there, and needs beaten up. (It does.) Unique Gameplay Mechanics Breakout * The screen never scrolls; this is built in the style of breakout games such as "Arkanoid," featuring a large Yin-Yang Orb that Reimu hits around the screen with her techniques. The Yin-Yang Orb and Bombs (under specific situations) are the only things that can damage enemies. However, you can also be crushed by the orb if you let Reimu get hit by it. Reimu's Abilities * Reimu will fire her shot upwards when you hit Z. This shot cannot damage enemies, but it can erase a bullet it hits and change the Yin-Yang Orb's movement when it connects. * She can also use her gohei for similar, more direct purposes when you hit X while standing still. She will swing her gohei back and forth once, her first swing being stronger than her second (her second swing can't deflect bullets either). * Combining movement, Z and X can make her do various other tricks, like a Slide Kick (moving + X), a Flip Kick (Slide + X at the end without pressing left or right (or pressing the opposite direction)), and a Shot Barrage (Slide + Z at the end). Bombs * Even the earliest game had a Bomb system, despite how different it is than the rest. You start the game with a single bomb, the amount can't be changed. You can only receive a bomb if Reimu gets hit, but regular tiles can give you a bomb too if you're lucky. To use a bomb, press left, right and Z at the same time, or Z and X twice. Bombs will hit most, if not all, onscreen tiles once, and if the orb comes into contact with Reimu while it is active, the orb will be launched instead. Bombs can only damage bosses if you have no lives left. Scorefile * This scorefile provided by GlitchyMissingno. * Since there are no unlocks in HRtP, this scorefile is basically here exclusively for formality's sake. Release Information Type: Bullet Hell Developer: Team Shanghai Alice Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice Release: Comiket 67, on December 30, 2004 Language: English-Patched (ThCrap Self-Updating Standalone) Silhouette On Cover: Kaguya Houraisan (Final Boss B) Character Information Playable Characters: 8 (4 selections as teams of two - Reimu & Yukari, Marisa & Alice, Youmu & Yuyuko, and Sakuya & Remilia; later on, characters become selectable individually once unlocked.) Shot Types: 1 Each (So 2 when playing as a team.) POC: Focus-Activated before Max Power; Always On after Max Power is attained. Description The real moon has been replaced with a fake the night before the Harvest Moon Festival! The girls know the gravity of this situation - the moon carries more importance than simply being the subject of the festival. However, they've only got a single night to resolve the issue, so they've created teams in an attempt to expedite the investigation as much as possible. Our girls hurry, knowing time is of the essence, but can they resolve this incident in time? Unique Gameplay Mechanics Time * This game's story is time-intensive; the game begins at 11 PM, and if it becomes 5 AM at any point, the game is immediately over, even if you had additional lives left over after having successfully cleared a stage. Thus, you don't want to run out of time to investigate the incident. * Continues cost half an hour each. * Time generally advances 1 hour at the conclusion of each stage. However, if you meet the Time Point quota for the stage by collecting Time Orbs, which you normally earn by killing enemies, then time only advances half an hour at the end of that stage, which frees up enough time for one additional Continue. Although killing enemies is the default way to earn orbs, it isn't the only possible way; you can earn more ways to get orbs - see below. * If you never meet any quotas, you have enough time for exactly one Continue. Human/Youkai (H/Y) Teams * Unfocused fire comes from the team's human, and focused fire comes from the team's youkai. * The H/Y Gauge at the bottom-left of the playfield tracks your recent firing trends, and awards you a bonus if you've mostly been firing as one type recently; thus, you can work toward one bonus or the other to suit the situation you're in. -> 80% Human or More: You start earning Time Orbs just for hitting enemies; you start earning orbs gradually the entire time you're causing damage to enemies or bosses. -> 80% Youkai or More: You start earning Time Orbs for grazing; all grazes become worth saved time. * The H/Y Gauge is also pushed toward Human or Youkai by which character collects the Time Orbs. * Some enemies can summon spirits to assist them. Humans can shoot and defeat spirits, but Youkai shots go right through them. Spirits are worth massive Time Orb bonuses. Last Spell Cards * All main bosses of each stage have a Last Spell, but they don't normally use it. If you meet the Time Point quota by the end of the fight, then they'll use it against you. If you earn the right to face off against a Last Spell, while fighting it, you will be unable to Bomb, but getting hit won't result in loss of life or time (although it will cost you the spell card; you won't capture it). If you beat it, you get more Time Orbs and a boost to your score. * The player also has Last Spells! This game lets you deathbomb more easily than other games in the series, but this comes at a cost of an extra bomb (2 instead of 1). When this happens, the character's teammate jumps in and uses a stronger version of their normal Spell Card. Scorefile * This scorefile was originally acquired from an unknown source. It was then improved upon by Dark Kijin, and the spell card collection completion was brought to 100% by Drizzle. * It has 100% Extra availability, and more notably, 100% spell card availability in Spell Card Practice. * [Difficulty-Character clearance is under review, but is not 100%.] -> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! If you have a scorefile which improves upon the progress in this existing file, please submit it us! Th08 (IN) Scorefile [Dark Kijin & Drizzle].zip

Softwares Publisher: DNA Software Release: March 21, 2005 Language: Japanese Default Controls Arrow Keys: Movement Z: Fire / Select X: Bomb Shift: Focus Movement Description Moedan is a training game for newcomers to Touhou. You play as Flandre Scarlet and are given two spellcard options: Wide Shot and Linear Shot. Bombs clear bullets but do no damage. Alice Margatroid appears as a boss. The game is based on the player trying to clear spell cards, where each Spell Card have different patterns and provide players the opportunity to practice dealing with it. In each stage the player can earn silver medal by shooting down enough enemies/the boss within the time limit, or earn gold medal by surviving until the time runs out. Story Mode Story mode functions the same as the "Imperishable Night" Practice section. Flandre must clear 50 spellcards, but don't worry. There isn't a set order in which you must clear one, so you can always skip one you are having trouble with and go back to it later. If you time a spell card out, you get a gold medal instead of a silver one. Freeplay Mode Freeplay mode allows you to play the same spellcards from Story Mode, but you may add a few more options. You may increase the number of lives and bombs you start with, and you may choose as to whether or not to double the spellcard.

Once again, Reimu decides to cut off the invasion at the source. Each for their own reasons, Marisa, Mima, and Yuuka also decide it's in their best interests to investigate. Unique Gameplay Mechanics Soundtrack Inclusion * Being the last PC-98 era game, this title includes all of the tracks from the previous games. All of them, even the unused ones. Dream Bonus 2.0 * Mystic Square includes the Dream mechanic as well, but it functions quite different this time around. The gauge above the Power meter is your Dream gauge, and it can be filled up in many ways, such as collecting a Point item at its maximum value, or grabbing a Dream item, which brings it to Max immediately. It will also gradually increase on its own if enemies are onscreen during a stage portion. Bombing, dying or letting point items fall (only when it isn't full) will decrease the gauge. The higher your Dream is, the lower the Point of Maximum Value will be at. * Reaching Max Dream will erase all bullets, and will make all point items be worth a lot more, anywhere on the screen.

Unique Gameplay Mechanics Occult Orbs * Around 20 seconds into a battle, an Occult Orb will begin appearing. About 5 seconds later, it reveals itself. * A light representing the players (red for player 1, blue for player 2) appears when they touch an Orb, which has space for 7 lights. * If you have more lights than your opponent, then you get the orb. * Your orb will bounce off you if you touch it. Try not to bounce it toward your opponent, because they may be able to tag it with a light! * Any attack that requires Orbs will be stronger the more Orbs you have. * Once you collect 1 Occult Orb, you'll be able to use your Urban Legend, which is character-dependent. However, if you take damage after using it, you won't be able to use it again for a while. * If you collect 4 Occult Orbs, you can use your Last Word. All Last Words are based upon the characters' Urban Legends. Once you utilize a Last Word, you'll drain all your orbs. Mystery Spots * Each time an Occult Orb appears, an effect comes into play, similar to how Weather effects work in Soku, except in this game, it's called a Mystery Spot. This lasts until either someone gets the orb or it disappears. There are 7 different effects; knowing what they do could help you win your battles! Spell Bar * In the lower corner of the screen is a bar that slowly fills as you fight - your Spell Bar. * When it's full, you can use the spell card you chose before the battle. * If you charge it twice, that makes it even more powerful! * When you use your card, it drains your spell power entirely. Health Bar Coloration * In this game, Blue Health is your current health, and White Health is recoverable health, which is how much you get back for certain healing methods. If you want an example, Mokou takes advantage of this; when she uses fire-based attacks, her blue health depletes, leaving recoverable white health instead, and then when she uses Resurrection, she regains all her white health. Scorefile * This scorefile was provided by Wolfdragon Rex. * It unlocks Sumireko. * It has Gold-level clears for all characters on all difficulties, with exceptions on Lunatic for Futo, Miko, Mamizou, Koishi, and Kokoro. -> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! If you have a scorefile which improves upon the progress in this existing file, please submit it to us! Th14.5 (ULiL) Scorefile [Wolfdragon Rex].zip

Important: Dashing through an enemy's attack animation will trigger a scarlet aura around the enemy. Attack the enemy with the Sword of Hisou to trigger a weather change effect. This is necessary at some points in the game to proceed. Scarlet mist on the ground are sources of large revenue. Use Sword of Hisou on them. You cannot activate them if you have full charge. Bosses sometimes will appear with different spellcards depending on how well you're faring. Taking multiple hits will result in your screen glowing red on the edges. Extras Clear Data (included in download) This goes in your Sengoku Gensokyo -> Save folder. Also, it doesn't overwrite saved game data, it just flags the game as cleared, unlocking the extra stuff: * National Mode * Difficulty Select for Story Mode * Extras Section Description Plot Point: Yukari has distributed a letter throughout all of Gensokyo, setting rules for a team-based wargame for those who are bored of nothing but typical spell card rules, promising to grant any one wish for the team who wins. Those who are weak individually but strong in a group decide this provides an excellent opportunity; others simply want to prove their points; still others want the promised wish. But, for only the second time in Touhou history (the first being "Labyrinth of Touhou"), the entire Touhou cast is involved...because now, Gensokyo is at WAR. How It Works: This is a point-and-click strategy game (left-click to confirm, right-click to cancel); in the main Story Mode, generally speaking, you play the role of the Hakurei Shrine faction, and declare war, battle against, and capture the other factions' territories until you win by having the entire map under your control. For all the details you could possibly need, go grab the Instruction Pack from the Extras section on the left. This game may look something like "Risk" at first glance, but trust me: 1) it plays nothing like it, and 2) it takes a lot longer (Story Mode does, anyway). Want Extras? Clear the game. Simply clearing the main Story Mode game unlocks all of the following: * National Mode. A setup that emulates a multiplayer experience; all regions start off occupied, and factions are no longer concerned only with you; they'll attack each other now as well. National Mode comes with the bonus characters on the left (and thus some bonus factions, as well), and lots of ways to tweak things; you can set how many and which factions will be present and change their starting memberlists, and you also get to play as any faction you'd like. National Mode can use characters you've created yourself in the game's Extras section. To get to it, click "Start" on the main menu, and it will now ask you which mode you'd like to play (Story Mode or National Mode). * Difficulty Select for Story Mode. Was the default setting of Normal too easy for you? Now when you start a new Story Mode game, it will ask if you'd still like to play Normal, or if you'd prefer Hard or Lunatic. * Extras Section. Check out the CG art, videos, and character art; you've also earned the right to tweak the statistics of the characters you can hire in both Story and National Modes, and can also create new characters for use in National Mode. (When you start a new game, regardless of mode, it will ask you whether you'd like to use the official default data, or the edited data you tweaked.)

Release Information Type: Single-Screen Beat-'Em-Up Developer: Lion Heart Publisher: Lion Heart Release: Comiket 76, August 15, 2009 Version: 1.21 (Includes Training & Desperate Mode) Language: English (Well, everywhere you really need it.) Character Information Playable Characters: 3 (Alice, Marisa, Patchouli - you pick a pair) Description Concept: Each area is a single screen with some platforms and monsters; defeating everything clears the stage. There are five chapters, consisting of 5 stages each, complete with a boss fight as the final stage of each chapter. How It Works: You choose a pair of girls to play as, and control both. You start off in control of the girl you picked first (called your "master") but you can switch with your other character (called your "slave") anytime you want. Both girls have their own independent HP gauges, but share their CP and the SP gauge. Your Chain Points (CP) are used to swap girls and for directional button special moves, and recharge themselves after you don't do either for a bit. Your max CP is extended by 1 for each boss you defeat. Your SP can be used to use spell cards, or resurrect a dead partner (First Aid). Advanced Strategy Slave Orders By default, your Slave's function is set to "follow," where they follow you closely so you can swap easily. However, if you hold Down and hit [Swap], you change the order to "ambush," where the Slave stays put until you swap or change the order back, allowing you to use advanced tactics to backstab enemies, or bat them back and forth for huge damage. Slaves waiting patiently under ambush orders regenerate HP. First Aid It's hard to do without your partner. If they should perish in battle, you can stand over their body and hold Down and hit [Spell Card] to sacrifice one spell card to resurrect your partner. Training You can use Training on any non-boss stage; when choosing a stage, hit [Swap] instead of [Attack] to confirm. In Training, enemies don't move or attack, and you can practice all you want; just pause and exit when done. Please note that if you try to use Training Mode on a boss stage, it will crash the game. Boss Rush If you've earned the True End on any difficulty for a pairing (by beating the Secret Chapter), you earn the right to attempt the Boss Rush with that pairing for that difficulty; when selecting your stage, hit left from 1-1 to highlight and choose Boss Rush. Desperate Mode If you manage to get the True End on Lunatic with a pairing, you earn a fifth ridiculously hard difficulty setting for that pairing called Desperate Mode, which will be found under the selection for Lunatic difficulty.

(Reimu, Sanae, Aya, Marisa, Patchouli, Sakuya, Nitori, Alice, Satori, Youmu, Byakuren, Mokou) Expansion Characters The following 5 characters can only be used after you unlock them in the Expansion-only content. "???" is a Genius of Sappheiros original character. (Yuugi, Cirno, Reisen, Remilia, and ???) Description Plot Point: It's a normal day in Gensokyo when Reimu Hakurei notices a strange fog rolling in. All across Gensokyo, residents witness this fog weakening and killing a great many lesser youkai. At the behest of Yukari Yakumo, she joins forces with Marisa Kirisame, Sanae Kochiya, and Aya Shameimaru to investigate the fog's appearance... (from Touhou wiki) How it Works: You choose a party of 5 characters, with a 6th character, the Commander, helping out via support abilities. You head though various dungeons (also called Stages) and fight enemies in turn-based RPG-style combat. As you win battles you gain experience and level up, sometimes learning abilities. However, you also earn "Power" as you level up, and these points can be put, and taken out of, into 14 different categories (4 personal, 4 weapon-types, and the 6 stat types) to increase your stats or learn other abilities. Extra EXTRA notes Unlocking Fujiwara no Mokou early: After visiting Akyuu for the first time, talk to her again. The Bamboo Forest maze will appear to the west; head there, and travel through the forest in accordance with the Konami Code (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right) to find Mokou. Unlocking Byakuren Hijiri early: Head to Myouren-Ji, the building in the southeast where Minamitsu Murasa is standing. Wait in this building for a full hour of real time and a cutscene will trigger in which Byakuren will join. You do not need to visit the SDM, Stage 1, (or visit Akyuu for Byakuren) to unlock those characters. However, it must be noted that the player must visit Akyuu once more after getting the recipes in order to unlock Mokou. Also, they will automatically join your party right before stage 9 (Mokou) and 11 (Byakuren) respectively if you do not recruit them before then.
