TOUHOU 18 ANNOUNCED (Also release for th17.5)

Literally like an hour ago, ZUN just dropped information on Touhou 18: Unconnected Marketeers!

A demo version of the game will also be appearing at Reitaisai (March 21st). Full game will release in May.

From the details provided so far, this sounds like it's going to be a really interesting entry in the Touhou series. The game features cards which can be equipped to use the powers of different characters, and a system to purchase more along the way. I guess we'll have to wait and see to find out what it's actually like.

Also, I just want to say that the artwork for this game looks incredibly crisp. I know not everyone's a fan of ZUN art, but I personally really like it and to me the art for this entry feels like a really strong development in the style - just me?

ZUN has already confirmed the playable characters: Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya and Sanae.

Since I'm here talking about news updates for the Touhou series, I also want to quickly cover a couple of other things, even though this is somewhat old news now:  Touhou 17.5 will be getting its full release on 21st March as well at the same Reitaisai, and the PS4/Switch ports of Touhou 15.5 - a project I thought had died by the way - is confirmed to be actually happening; and will supposedly come out this Spring.
