Hey there, hold up a minute!
Although this "game" is technically playable by itself, its primary function is that it is an expansion for Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. To unlock the entire roster of 20 characters for play, you must tell Soku where your copy of SWR is located. Instructions for how to do this can be found right below.

Telling Hisoutensoku Where SWR Is
 
There's a lot of confusion regarding this subject, so I will clear it up.  If you want to play as all 20 characters in Soku, you must tell it where you've got Scarlet Weather Rhapsody installed.  This means, first of all, that you do have to have SWR in the first place, and secondly, you need to know the proper way to tell Soku where it is.
 

In your "Touhou 12.3 - Hisoutensoku" folder is a file called "configex123.ini," which mostly contains gibberish, but near the top, it has an entry for "[th105path]," under which it says "path=".  You need to tell it the exact path to your SWR folder, as seen in the screenshot below (highlighted).  That's how it's done.

I'm having another .dll issue with this game along with ufo, wtf can I do about it??????????? I tried what people said in the comments but they're not working for me

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix an issue with the hisoutensoku visuals.

Here are some bugs:

  1. All block shields can't be seen.

  2. Sanae's red stars can't be seen.

  3. Alice's dolls' spin can't be seen

  4. The effects are only the visuals and does not affect the gameplay in any way.

Not sure why this is the case. Can someone help?

I have a problem when I cleared Sanae story

My game keeps resetting itself when I quit and re-enter the game and I lost everything I unlocked after cleared the story

How to fix it?
