Description

The cherry blossoms have stopped blooming in Hakugyokurou. Troubled by this, Yuyuko travels out to return spring to the afterlife. Touhou Madara Sakura (English: Brave Cherry of the Eastern) is a vertical shooting game developed by 幽々燦々 and based upon Ikaruga, a 2001 arcade shooting game developed and published by Treasure. Yuyuko has ability that enables her to manipulate departed souls - ghost (purple) and spirits (white) - presented in the game where players can absorb enemy attacks and convert them into energy for the game's special weapon, a homing laser. By using the polarity system when Yuyuko is white, she takes damage from purple bullets but can absorb white ones. The player can also inflict more damage on black foes, and vice versa. The key to success is knowing when to switch polarity, and being able to do it quickly.
