Description

A thick scarlet mist is covering Gensokyo; it blocks out the sun, which causes affected areas to become cold. Our heroines believe the culprit lives in the newly-materialized Scarlet Devil Mansion, and so they depart with the goal of “questioning” those who live there.

Mods
* Retexture Patch This replaces all the imagery in the game with crisper, higher-resolution textures. Sprites are also updated with those from newer games. You pick between versions where the hitbox is never visible (as in vanilla) or always visible.
* Focus-Only Hitbox Patch A patch that causes your hitbox to become visible when you’re Focusing (the behavior of all games after this one). (I don’t know if this is compatible with the Retex Patch.)

Unique Gameplay Mechanics
* This is the only Windows game where you cannot see your hitbox while focusing.

Rank
*A hidden value between 0 and 32, higher rank values increase bullet speed and the amount of bullets, having the most prominent effects in boss attacks.
*Rank goes up as time surviving goes on and goes up dramatically with spell card caps.
*Rank goes down by 16 when you are hit, not killed but hit, meaning a deathbomb WILL decrease rank. Some spellcards decrease rank when bombed IE Water Elf.

I believe it includes both the Japanese and english version within the download no? "TH06" is the JPN version, and "Touhou06" should be the Eng version. They both might need a japanese locale to run though.

Try changing your locale to japanese, or using a locale emulator. If you need help doing so just ask, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who've described how to do so on here, and online

ive been having some trouble with the download. whenever i install it, it opens just fine. however, when reimu first starts talking, it immediately crashes. does anyone know how to fix this?

Yo I got this pop up, go look at the picture, when I play the game the character is delayed like if I press the up key it take like half a second to process it and it ruins the game. I downloaded the file again and the pop up is gone, but I need to beat lunatic continue again so I can get practice start cuz I'm practicing for a 1cc lunatic, but because of this DLL Injection bug I need to beat lunatic again, so can someone please help me fix this somehow?

I downloaded this game and I also downloaded Touhou 7 and 8 a few days ago, and it works fine but every now and then some random app in my task manager will use an insane amount of cpu and cause my computer to lag a lot. The first time it happened it was just News and Interests and I was able to end the task and everything was working fine again, but now my computer freezes before I can scroll down to the app and I have to restart it. This has never happened before and I've only had this computer for a year. I haven't downloaded anything else recently, did I potentially download a virus or is this unrelated?

@neяo it worked for the first time but it came back up again i tried running directx another time and it still came up does anyone have an idea how to fix this or better yet fix it and it won't come back up again?
edited - i downloaded the file again and it still has this pop up
edit 2 - i tried the first method and i think it made it worse and it was completely unplayable, it didn't open the game anymore and restarting the pc didn't do anything at all
edit 3 - i fixed it by deleting d3dx9_43.dll and running directx again so directx can put back the d3dx9_43.dll file and it somehow fixed it

xfinity doesn't block tor. It could be your firewall, or something on your network that is preventing you from downloading it. Are you using something like utorrent to download it? For other ways I'm sure that there are others out there, but I think it'd be easier to just change your way of downloading it here.

you need to use another program to use these torrent files, you don't just download them.

Hey, I started playing 6 a few days ago and it worked like a charm... But, now, when I open it, this happens. I haven't touched the files so I have no idea why this is happening (or what it means) lol

EDIT: I fixed this! In case anyone else is struggling with the same thing, I just changed my locale to Japan.

Okay I was able to get the files to zip files and now I'm able to see the bgm and thcrap files what do I do now.

You mean to download the files? That'd be any torrent client. I used µTorrent when I tried the new download iirc. If you meant just running the downloaded file from torrent, there's an executable named "TH06" or something similar within the folder. If you see a different executable, that one is the non-translated version

How can I get this to work on steam deck? When I add the exe to steam, add proton, and launch it, it just gives me a pop up that says something about thpatch having a bad exe format. What can I do to fix this?
