It seemed to help, now opening the update program before displaying the same crash message, and after further investigation, it appears that the Japanese .cfg file is the issue. Multiple translations have also mentioned it being "non-writable" or the "disk being full". I don't know computers too well, but it would explain the reason why the errors are in Japanese. Thanks for the tip.

Open a notepad and try shift left, it should highlight, but you'd also have to hold z aswell which would be awkward to then test

Just because it can type doesn't mean it won't have other issues, it could be based on how the keyboard scans the key presses, if you have access to another keyboard then try that is my only recommendation, it could be driver related but I haven't seen this issue in a while, if you want to try anything else then try some simple searches not mentioning EoSD

I tried to hold down Z, Shift and left in another game and it don't seem to work there either. Thanks for your help!

no problem, just weird keyboard things probably, can confirm with some other methods if you wanted to but odds are it just doesn't support that combo of keys all at once as they're "being read" in a way that doesn't support that many at once (it's hard to explain, but it's probably the board not drivers, these things are things not many end up with issues with as it's such specific things like this) glad you now know though!

I've beaten the game in normal mode but I don't know how to get the fight with Flandre Scarlet (extra stage). Can someone tell me how?

1cc, you need to clear the game on normal or higher without using a continue

A run being legitimate or not is really up to them, the no hitbox isn't hard to learn, and pretty sure the hitbox patch provided is actually the inaccurate one (I actually have no clue where there is an accurate one as I started with even older games)

There is No Malware thats just How thcrap works it Replaces Files Tempoarily so it Looks like its malware but actually its just doing what they normaly do and virustotal does have some Dodgy Anti-virus Sources in it

Yes. It grabs the patches it needs and puts it into your files. It's basically downloading a bunch of stuff from a offsite website, so basically any antivirus will have red flags about it.

Shouldn't really affect you if you just want to play, it just means thcrap can't update as it can't verify the update it's seeing

Hi!  Not to be silly or anything, but I have no idea what I'm doing.  I'm both new to windows 10 as a software and with touhou and patching in general.  I got touhou working (TH6, english pre-patched from what I know? the game is in english when I run the Touhou6.exe file), but I want to add the retexture patch.  I followed the instructions on the readme file, but when I copy the files into the Touhou folder (I see no folder *directly* labelled 'EoSD'), it doesn't ask for permission or rewrite anything like it says it does.  And of course, when I run it, it is not retextured or patched.

Sorry for not knowing what I'm doing, but help would be appreciated :).

When I try to open the game it says there is a missing file called 'd3dx9_43.dll'. It says reinstalling may fix it, but it didn't. Help?
