"Help Me Remember, Satori-sama!" is a quiz game
where you figure out the answer by repeatedly
asking questions and getting answers to use as hints.
Satori-sama worked herself too hard and ended up bedridden.
During this time while she's unable to properly use her power to read hearts,
Okuu comes seeking help remembering objects or tasks she's forgotten.
Through making use of just a sliver of power of recollection,
Satori-sama does her best to deduce what Okuu has forgotten,
all while elegantly handling surprise visits from Orin and Koishi.
You gather hints as to what Okuu's forgotten by asking her questions.
However, though she doesn't mean any harm by it, she's forgetful.
She'll occasionally give the wrong answer, or just not remember at all.
When that happens, use your power of recollection.
That'll draw the correct information out of her and help lead to the answer.
Orin will sometimes come to the room whether she has business or not,
and Koishi will occasionally appear to play a prank on you.
Handle them elegantly and continue your questioning until you reach the answer!

The player must continuously remove the newly added fruits through matching and the game may end with a loss if the board is filled with radishes or kedamas. Radishes can be moved but can only be removed by swapping fruit next to it. Bonus points and spell cards are given when cascades or chains reactions are triggered. It is based upon Tetris and Puyo Puyo, though not exactly the same, where the players move colored blocks to their correct spot in order to create a match. the player must achieve a "rensa" or chain by linking at least four blocks with the same colors which makes it advance one step closer to Eirin's recipe. There are many board patterns with different objectives and challenges which can be chosen freely by player from the beginning.

The main gameplay involves guiding Alice and Patchouli to the exit by collecting keys before time runs out. The player can select one of five stages within a world. Once they are cleared, the boss of the world becomes available. The stages are populated with obstacles, puzzles and enemies, with the player traversing the stage by running, jumping and use spells. Alice and Patchouli have different abilities required to pass certain obstacles and platforms.
Alice jumps far and uses her dolls to remove or blow up blocks, while Patchouli is proficient in jumping high and using magic.
